LOL I've never seen so much bad math in a single thread!!!

Had an iPhone 4, and an iPhone 4S. Never experienced Antennagate. Neither did anyone I ever knew.

I would LOVE to have that design back. Nicest looking iPhone ever made.

I stood in line for 5 hours for the iPhone 4. I never had any antenna issues. My friend had a 4 and she did have issues, but she got it replaced and the issues went away. But yeah, the glass on both sides... beautiful design.

Beautiful sure. I never owned one, but for some strange reason, people seemed to drop them every so often and break both sides of it. Of course it wasn't covered under warranty, people were pissed and I assume that's why Apple went back to a non-glass back.

Finally! I've been waiting for someone to make a change that would allow the price point of cells to drop from $199 to $198.99!

Agreed. I loved the glass back, and it looked way nicer than the back of my iPhone 5. Oh well, "first world problems".

Jesus wept. Sooner or later we’ll be having to remove the etching on windscreens and car tyres. I can’t think of anything right now that is more of a waste of time.

Rather, we'll stop putting those etchings on windscreens and car tires. It's more of a reduction of effort.

Pass savings onto the consumer? What savings? The entire 25p needed to etch these things onto the back of devices?

If Rockefeller is behind it there's some shady ulterior motive behind it. But whatever. I don't really mind it at all, it's barely visible as it is. I don't even have a case.

100% agreed. Probably the finest piece of hardware Apple's ever sold. When Steve compared it to an old Leica that was no joke. It's a masterwork of engineering.

Why is it pointless? It helps by not forcing companies to etch these information on their devices when they can just show it inside the OS.

Not really sure how important the recycling symbol is, but it's basically useless inside the OS because it will only be visible if the phone is charged and operational -- which it probably won't be.
