Pressure Mark on rMBP......omfg!!!

That's a pressure mark. Apple might not cover it, my iPhone had one of those and they wouldn't swap it. It was a lot bigger than that too.
I meant I got one last week for myself, and my dad was looking to upgrade the one he uses for work, so I went and got him one yesterday.

Yeah I was about so say. That doesn't look like dead pixels. We probably wouldn't even be able to see it on camera if it were a dead pixel.
Well I don't know exactly what it is, but it's definitely noticeable!!

i have two dead pixels near the right edge of my screen. they're white when the screen is completely black

Those aren't dead pixels, looks like a pressure mark to me.
If you change the color of the background, do those pixels change color as well or does it stay white? If it changes colors but looks like it's pressed in then yeah that's a pressure mark.
With that said there have already been several people saying they noticed that issue on theirs so you shouldn't have an issue getting it replaced.
If they say they'll fix it, I'd just return it and then buy a new one.

So you would walk in and say that you had some dead pixels, will you replace it?
I see it on every color background except black! Damn, i wish i had a better camera.

That's a pressure mark. Not "Dead Pixels". Apple might not cover it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. If you have Apple Care they should just replace it.
Yeah, after googling some images, it looks like thats what it seems to be. Let me correct the title.....
Haven't purchased AppleCare yet, but seeing as it's only been 24 hours, if they don't give me a new one, ill just be forced to return it!
I had the same issue but much worse. They are rushing me a replacement and letting me keep mine until it gets here! Apple has great customer service... sometimes!
My Apple store has pretty good service, many of them recognize me because I've bought so many computers there. Hopefully they have one in stock! As long as they replace it with a new one, I'm fine!!

I'd ask if they are willing to replace it with a new one. If they say no, we only do repairs, then I'd just go return it then buy a new one.
That's definitely a pressure mark then.
I would suggest calling AppleCare and not going to the apple store. I do that whenever I have a problem with a new computer. They are generally more helpful and flexible than the people at the Apple store. They don't even need to see it to offer a replacement within 14 days.
Who cares if Apple covers it or not? Do they not have a 14 day return policy? Just return it. It doesn't matter if it's defective or not.
