Do any other products currently use titanium? Could they be working their way up to a Titanium MacBook Pro?

Titanium has already been used in their laptops. The PowerBook G4 from 2001-2003.

It can. It was an artificial limitation on 14 Pro.

Maybe they got faster flash chips this time.

ProRes 4K is only 100MB/sec. Even iPhone 7 128GB can handle those write speeds. This was debated last year and put to rest.

This is honestly the biggest and best news today, IMO.

Apple also seems to have quietly removed the artificial 128GB/ProRes limitation on the iPhone 15 Pro.

Exactly my thoughts. When the new camera wasn't periscope 3-6X and was instead a fixed 5X I was thinking I was gonna bail on getting the 15 Pro Max because I didn't want to spend a ton of money to get that. But then this happened. I was always in the market for 256GB so this is only $100 more than the 256GB 15 Pro. Seems worth it.

As for the recording limitation, I thought it was because the 128GB flash storage was too slow to support recording ProRes video?

That’s a bad take. Price did go up because apple eliminated the cheapest model. Storage prices are at rockbottom right now.

I wish they would have done it both instead of assuming since you want the bigger screen you also need more storage

Neither did the feature set (at least from 14 Pro to 15 Pro). I usually upgrade each year, but there is really no reason to. WiFi 6E is the only compelling feature. Camera is the same specs. Frame is covered with a case always.

Apple is still on WiFi 6E ?

Yea the case scratched really easily despite being titanium if I remember.
