Me. Will get it Friday. It all came to size for me. I know I would love a slightly better camera than the pro, but I have to think about everyday use than the single times I will really wish I had a slight better camera. But those days. I probably would wish I had an actual camera w all the bells and whistles.

Same here. Wasn’t willing to buy the larger one just because of the better camera. I have the Xs now, and the size is just right for me. Had the 8plus before, and it was just too bulky in everyday use.

So I‘ll wait what the next generation will bring in camera and sensor tech. Maybe the „normal“ pro will have the better tech then too.

The reviews are out. As expected the cameras on the pro is just phenomena. It's a shame Peter McKinnon didn't have the pro max as well to compare when he went downtown Toronto with the 12pro for low light test.

Anyone who knows when we can expect pro max reviews coming out?

the 12 and 12 pro reviews started to appear between pre order and launch date.

Do you think it's going to be the same with pro max?
Then we are looking at reviews for about the 10th of november.

Coming from a X here and in the same minor predicament. I want the best camera, but not necessarily a Max sized iPhone. Not sure how much real world difference the larger sensor and sensor shift technology will make with the Max. Will probably get a 12 Pro then decide whether the Max camera is worth the overall size trade off once it’s released.

I am doing exactly this. I came from an X and I ordered the 12 Pro (arrives the NOV 10th), and with the reviews, I will see if its worth it to try a bigger size this year and return the Pro and buy the Pro Max. But I am very happy with the size of the X so I don't know...

I’m super happy with the upgrade of the 12 Pro over the X. Everything is just faster and smoother and everything on the screen is slightly bigger. The camera is a huge upgrade over the X and well worth the cost.

I still may order the Max to see if the upgraded camera is worth it, but the 12 Pro is already at the limit in size for one-handed use (for me) and I don’t particularly want a larger phone.

I am exactly in the same situation. Just waiting for the reviews to see if the improvements of the Pro Max are worth it or not.

So here is my question. The iPhone 12 Pro Max telephoto has a 2.2 aperture and the iPhone 12 Pro has a 2.0 aperture. Yet the iPhone 11 Pro Max had a 2.0 aperture. Why this move and will it hurt quality?

The f/ number is the focal length divided by the diameter of the aperture. If you increase the focal length and the aperture diameter remains the same, the f/ number increases.

12 pro max camera difference to 12 pro not so notable according to peter mckinnon:
Thanks! I debated if I should return my pro but unless it was some dramatic difference, I was planning to stay w my 12 pro. This kind of seals it for me. Him and Marquess Brownlee basically said same thing. I think Marquees review was a little better. Funny thing, he was comparing the mini vs max. Which says a lot.
