Very nice. And yes, the email doesn’t say they’ll expedite the shipping, but what else would they try to do if they’re asking for our new order numbers? I’m (optimistically) guessing they have record of when we tried to order and will try to get us our device close to that originally promised date. In my instance, I checked out with November 3rd.

More to come soon, as I place my new order now and email Apple my new order number.

Keep us posted as well!

I had this message when I checked out but I still haven’t got an email :( I did make another order that’s scheduled for dec 5-11.

Your order is still a week ahead of mine. Unless that email means they are going to move up our orders, I wouldn’t worry about it. We should know more in a couple of days.

When your loan was approved did you get charged with the tax and the first monthly payment?

I did have to put in my payment info for that when I placed the new order. Nothing is showing up on my credit card yet though showing the charge. It might be processing at the moment and I’ll see it show up as a transaction after the weekend (I have no idea). The loan email says an initial payment of $56.16 will be charged when my phone ships and then recurring thereafter

Any update with any of you that have received the emails? I am worried because I never received that last email. Checked out at 2:07am CST with a Nov 3rd delivery date. Got the email from Citizens bank at 5:30am saying that the application failed. Checked out again and now have a Dec 11 - 18 delivery date.

I just received another email from Apple. This was to confirm my new order number that I provided in my response to their email. I also asked in my email if there was a way to get the phone sooner since I encountered this issue. They didn’t answer the question and the email says to please check my order status in three business days. I hope they are just trying to surprise us with a nice bump in the ship date. Fingers crossed

Same! Got the confirmation from an Apple employee, with a real employee's name attached. Really neat. Hope they can do something to restore my original ship date or come close. This is the wording I got:

Thank you for contacting Apple.

We have updated our records with the information you provided. Please log into Online Order Status in three business days to check the status of your order.

We appreciate your business.

This is exactly what is happening with me except I'm in the Eastern time zone and received mine at 6:30 am saying the application failed. Is there anyone who has contacted Apple directly via chat or 1-800-My Apple to see if they took your new order number even though you didn't get a follow up email like everyone else seems to have?

!!! So I emailed the orderupdate address everyone here posted... unlike many others, I did not receive an email from apple requesting I send them the order number but I emailed them anyway acting like I did. I finally heard back from them today. The first email I got from them with the subject "follow up"

Dear J----,

Apple welcomes your comments and suggestions. Your feedback is vital to our goal of improving Apple products and services.

Thank you for taking the time to share your input.

Sincerely,

Essence
Apple

I was in the process of replying when a second email with the subject "iPhone X Order" arrived. It said:

Dear J----,

Thank you for contacting Apple.

We have updated our records with the information you provided. Please log into Online Order Status in three business days to check the status of your order.

We appreciate your business.

Sincerely,

Essence
Apple

I hope that this means my order will be moved up closer to launch! <3

I have posted this in the news thread, and wanted to share it here too:

My date when I clicked order was originally 11/3. My new order was 12/18.

Apple has now updated my new order to 11/17. That’s a pretty decent up swing, as I know right after my order I watched all the phones slip to 2-3 weeks, which is where I stand now. Thank you Apple for your response to this issue.

Thanks everyone for giving out their updates as well.
