But are there really hard drives from fairly reputable companies like WD that aren't reliable? I feel like every different kind of drive has crashed on occasion, and probably a few of the same drive for the same person, but I would not say that it is a hard drive to steer clear of. I don't doubt that you have had multiple raptors break down in situations where you trusted them, so I understand how you have had a terrible experience with them. I just think that your problems are probably outside of the norm.
