BaldiMac - you still don't get my point - it is about the TREND of incredible loss of shareholder value, no new products & way too many missteps.

From my many verifiable years in an executive capacity I can confirm that the biggest mistake the Board / CEOs make in addressing poor performance is to stick with non-performers for way too long hoping for a turnaround.

That is what I am seeing here.

I am NOT a short term holder of Apple stock & have a long term strategic perspective. This 7 month trend is most worrisome.

I understand your argument completely. You haven't been subtle. I just think you are cherry-picking facts, ignoring anything that contradicts your point, and making a reactionary judgement to a short term trend whose causes are a bit more nuanced than "stock down, CEO bad."

A mistake that Cook didn't make with Browett.

And yet you are pushing to oust a key executive before he even has a realistic chance to release a single significant product developed completely under his leadership.

I want to see what kind of work Apple can do after the reorganization with product design centered under Ive. My expectation is that the reorg puts him in a better position to provide the attention to detail that Jobs was known for. Cook doesn't need to have the same responsibilities that Jobs had.

Do you really think Apple is better off without Cook as part of the company? Losing the skills that he brought as COO seems a much more clear problem for Apple than missing on a retail VP.
