The HEX case is nice but has a flaw it would seem, all of those items like the pencil, etc on the left flap will scratch the screen when closed, would they not?

I can hardly imagine the HEX designers would make such a huge mistake with the penholder. For now, I bravely assume there's a cavity in the back where the pencil is tugged in without scratching the glass.
Furthermore, I also assume that the bulbs in the left flap (meant to secure the up positions) will touch the screen before anything else does.
Let's wait and see...
 
FWIW, I'm using a Smart Cover, and put my iPad into an Incase sleeve. (Bought that sleeve 2 years ago for the first iPad. Still works/looks great today).

But that HEX case, holy ****. Especially the red one. WANT
