I think Indigo is worth a separate thread.

This on an iPhone 14 Pro.

After reading about this new camera app from Adobe I figured it was worth a try. I've used a number of other camera apps but have always come back to the stock Camera because of how simple it is.

tl;dr - After ten minutes of just fiddling with the app (no photos) the phone was very hot to the touch and issued a heat warning. In those ten minutes the battery went from 30% to 1% (no battery warning) and the phone shut down. It takes a lot of energy to generate that much heat.

After just exploring the app for ten minutes I was very impressed. The controls are intuitive and easy to use and easy to find. The 6x (?) zoom on the 14+ was stunning and something I would definitely use.

I've seen, here and elsewhere, people writing about the overheating problem, but this does not seem to be universal. In any event, it will have to be solved before I can make much use of this fascinating app.

I've been playing with Project Indigo for a couple of days.

I haven't run into the heating problems using the app that others have reported. Where my phone has got hot is during upload of the photos, remembering that Indigo is taking dng+jpg so much more to upload.

Overall I do like it. I find it easy to use with good output quality. On the 15PM I'm impressed by the 2xSR results, but haven't tried the 10xSR.

One drawback is that close-up performance needs a bit of work, output from the stock app is much better.

I regard the current release as late beta, and will surely improve with a bit of work.

What iPhone are you using? Most of the overheating reports I've seen are from users of iPhone 14, like me.
