Nope, Terratec did not respond. Not even some automated response. I'm kind of ticked off on that. So much that the MDD has gotten more work done on it than the QS, which I definitely should make a topic about. Thing is that we are in the middle of clearing stuff out of the house and cleaning up, as due to fracking earthquakes our house has some cracking damage, and this week our house will be renovated (fortunately on government and Shell/Exxon's money), which means moving around furniture as well. A bit too hectic to focus on my Macs. But, they will be worked on once I get the time again!

Firstly, that doesn't say a lot for Terratec customer service.
Given that you only paid €18,50 for it including shipping, it could be some relief to know that you may be able to get more for it if decide to sell.
The other guy selling his, as of today has the ad still posted, which either means that it's way overpriced, in little demand, or both. My experience is that most of the time, sellers in France way over-valuate their products when posting an ad.
I understand that it originally sold for 90€, therefore if it were me selling I would definitely not push my luck by asking more than 35€. It's not often that I part with any of my computer-related equipment, but on those rare occasions I would 'price to sell'.

Hi, i purchased a quicksilver machine recently and i am working on compiling the hackintosh drivers for the Terratec card to work on tiger on ppc, as now i have managed to compile them just for leopard and newer but i am working on it, if i manage to do it we will be able to use this nice dedicated sound card on our beloved power pc machines. if you have upgraded to leopard you can just ask me for a driver binary (warning it's untested). BTW Using a newer mountain lion machine i managed to compile a build of the driver which works on 64 bit intel mahcines including big sur machines, having the source code and the skill is honestly great, it allows me to achieve nice results.

For now no luck, i can compile the driver for tiger but kextload won't load it, it seems that's caused by the code being written for a newer version of the audio driver interface, i want to make a second attempt at it using xcode 3 on leopard but it requires time for me to get that system installed on my machine and getting the development environment setup.

Perhaps i can borrow an intel macmini 1.1 from a friend and use it to run leopard or snow leopard and also try and use newer versions of xcode.

Hi, i recently upgraded my Powermac G4 Qs 2002 with a Dual 1.0Ghz Cpu and Ati radeon 9800Pro G4/G5 version.
For audio recordings from vinyls i connected an M-audio Firewire Audiophile card.

I am having several problems getting the sound card driver working on power pc even on leopard, it's a matter of going trought all of the code and seeing if any of code is being broken by the differences in how the 2 architectures (x86 and power pc) are threated by the compiler

For now i have gived up trying to get the terratec card to work, but i have succeded in getting my CMI8738 cards working by tweaking the pre-existing driver, i have open sourced it on git hub (if you need the repo link go find my forum thread about it or PM me)

Also i have upgraded to a better-supported RME Digi96 8/PAD card which is quite affordable on the used market and has publicly available official drivers, this sound card is really the best card i was able to get to work in this machine as now, but i hope to eventually figure out the open source driver for the tarratec cards and get them to work.

I am really exited to let you know that i have successully got the Terratec Producer phase 22 working in my own quick silver with a custom mod of the open source hackintosh drivers, i will release this driver as soon as i am done testing, there is also an list of cards the driver will work with the best, but amoung partially supported cards there are bests like onkyo sound cards and ESI sound cards

@d-oost if you havet got rid of the Terracted card yet i can make it finally work in the power mac

Here is a screenshot with some update on the work i am doing on the hackintosh driver, i have limited it to 96 khz on the cards that can't do 192 khz (also because that doesn't even work on those cards) and i have added card name detection.

All of this is running on my quick silver g4 733 mhz overclocked to 800 mhz.

And here is a public release of my driver for the Terratec Producer Phase 22, tested to work with my g4 and my g5:
