Either you've been away for a couple years, or simply haven't been all over the forum. But the rMBP has been the standard abbreviation for quite some time now , and so it was quickly adopted for the rMini by MacRumor forum veterans

I knew that. But too many newbies using the wrong abbreviation had to be educated...
