Pros & Cons: Buy the 30" ACD now or wait for the new 30" LED?

LED is all good. black fat bezel? = No good.
The idea of spanning 30's would be compromised

the 24" LED black bezel looks slightly wider than the 23 & 30" ACD bezels. i think. unless its the black making it look thicker. anyone fgot both with a ruler to hand?

What's the new announcement mean for the 30" display?

Apple announced all new products today, including a new Mac Pro. The Mac Pro pricing and positioning doesn't look all that dramatic: same case, prices are up, and performance improvements are application specific. No new 30" display though. This could imply an availability and/or pricing issue on the LED panels. If that's the case, who knows when the 30" might be updated. Prices on the old unit are still at $1799 list, so is it time to splurge on one???

I would expect an updated 30" display soon. The current version has Firewire 400 ports, which today's announced products are lacking.
