That's very precise :) If the leaks are correct and Apple do announce/release the Apple Watch today (U.K time), I would love for their to be a dark blue Apple Watch. There was a rumour/leak that Apple were thinking about it, too match the midnight blue iPhone 12 that's rumoured to be coming later this year.

Don't worry - there will be an Apple Watch in today's event ;D

In a perfect world, they would release the Apple Watch and the AirPods Studio. I recently purchased the Surface Headphones 2, i'm still within the return window, if Apple's AirPods Studio are better then i can return the Surface headphones 2.

AirPods Studio won’t be released this year. Don’t quote me on that.

However Apple Watch and iPad will be announced today. Pre-order for Watch will be this Thursday.

I believe there will be the following:
1. New Watch announced on 8 Sept for release 23 September
2. New iPad Air announced the same
3. iOS and WatchOS will go GM either 16 or 23 September

Basis for this is the Air is showing no stock until 23 September. It also appears to be carrying a price drop and free AirPods, certainly in my version of the store.

So new goodies in my opinion on 23 September. Om Nom Nom :)

I was speaking of what he has said about this release not his other predictions. Past results are not indicative of current or future results.
Dude of course it is... how else would u gauge success... you silly goose. I will assume you don’t have a response.

he could still be right, they might still make this announcement about the watches or ipads. Seems odd they don't mention the watches for the 9/15 event. I cant imagine that on the 9/15 event they will do an "oh, by he way"

The iPad Pro is a flag ship product. They announced it at an event in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. So why, oh why, did they announce it over press release in March 2020?
hmmmmm... let’s think about this.
Oh yeah, because it was a tiny speck bump in the middle of a pandemic.
And what is the watch series 6 rumored to be?
A tiny spec bump, in the middle of a pandemic.
So what doesn’t make sense to you?
We are in the middle of a pandemic, and apple has a lot of things to announce. It completely makes sense for them to announce some minor things before the event. They have done it before. In May 2019, they announced MacBook Pro updates, and a new iPod touch just two weeks before WWDC. They could have waited, and just announce them at the event, but no. They were not important enough. Now usually, if 2020 were a normal year, the watch would be important enough for an event.
But 2020 isn’t normal, and there’s no September event, and there’s no press at the event at all. So for them to just slap this tiny update on the website makes sense. They’re going to save that iPhone, AirPods Studio, AirTags, HomePod mini, and ARM mac for an October event.

24 hours later 😂

They did a Press release on AirPods Pro, an entire new line of one of their biggest products.
They did a press release on the 16 inch MacBook Pro, a completely new screen size, with several new features.
they Did a press release on the iPad Pro and magic keyboard, an entire new input and software available for the iPad.
They did a press release on the iPhone SE. An iPhone, their most popular product, completely via press release.
So it’s absolutely likely that they’re going to announce this tiny Apple Watch upgrade via press release. Why waste event time on an Apple Watch with a processor bump, better battery, and possible blood oxygen monitoring. That can all be easily explained in a two minute ad, and a website refresh?
The reason that they normally announce Apple watches and iPhones at the same event is because press can have hands-on time with the product afterwards. The majority of consumers do not watch these events. However, there will be no press at the event, so leaving these minor upgrades for website refreshes makes complete sense to save time for more substantial products at the actual keynote

You were saying??

Yeah where’d they go???
I got so much grief over the weekend saying past performance was not indicative of current and future performance (re: Prosser’s record), not to mention all the down voting of my posts that the Prosserites didn’t like or agree with.

I should have challlenged one of them to a $100 bet about Prosser being wrong today.
