p.s. I'm hoping they bring back that gorgeous ceramic grey and hopefully a couple of other ceramic colors like red and black.

Hoping they change the silver to white in the pro model iPhones this year, doubt it’ll happen though.

Ah yes I think it's quite likely that Apple has queued up the press release(s) announcing these new products, and are making preparations to start taking orders as soon as next week. But Tim Cook may suddenly get cold feet sometime between today and tomorrow and pull the plug on the whole idea. I'll be staying tuned to Prosser for updates on this compelling drama.

I’m hoping for a new Air, but this is the point that has me scratching my head. What chip would it have?

A12 again? Possible, but disappointing.

A13? Puts it on par with the Pros, especially if it has a new Pro-like design. Seems unlikely they would do this.

A14? Before even the iPhones? Not a chance!
Hope you’re wrong!

I’d be surprised if any iPad Pro models are announced this press release, the current models have only been out 6 months and if they are replaced so quickly a lot of customers will be annoyed that their 1000 pound/dollars/euro tablets are out of date so quickly.
I won’t be annoyed. My iPad will not suddenly stop working. A new model is coming anyway, however, I am not upgrading within the next 5 years. So, basically, I don’t care if they release a new model tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or the year after the next year.

I have a theory...

both are correct. New iPad Air & Apple Watch 6 will be announced on Tuesday along with announcement of iPhone event as well. Phone event will have “I more thing” being MacBook (Apple Silcon) announcement.

I don’t think they will do that. From a business perspective, Apple wants people to talk about the new products for a few weeks before the announcement of the event.

Chuck’s crap at the wall and see what sticks.

he doesn’t get everything right so stop believing his self hyping.

He was WRONG about pixel ultra, pixel 5, AirPower photos, steve jobs AR glasses (cringe), wwdc hardware and iPhone OS and vanishes every time he’s wrong but for some reason he returns cocky and nasty because his creepy fans adore him and his arrogant fool act.

Do you trust Jon Prosser or Mark Gurman?
I trust Kuo Ming Chi the most! 😂
Neither of them are saying much.

Prosser: Apple might announce release of Watch/iPad(s) tomorrow. Or not. “Nailed it again!!” 🙄

Gurman: he thinks it’s “more likely” to be an announcement of an event than products. So at least a 50.0001% chance it’s just an announcement of a future event instead of an actual product release. Gee thanks.

Here is the thing, and we have known this pretty much since 2008, there will be a new iPhone every year. Also, with the introduction of the iPhone Upgrade Program, we know thats the case ever since; and the same with the Apple Watch most other Apple products like the Watch.

So, why does it really matter around exact dates and time. Guessing if its September 10 is like guessing, the sun might shine today, the sun might not shine today. The fact is, the sun is likely to shine a couple more times in September. If you get it right once, doesn't make you are tea leaf reader or a psychic.
Then again who is a psychic? Aren’t they all making predictions anyways? Like some physic can tell me exactly the color of my sh*t for tomorrow. 😅

I really can’t see the event happening on Tuesday!! Apple always give the press and public plenty of warning for their events to drive the buzz and make sure they can be Covered by press and blogs.

I don't know who this dude is, but we’re 24hrs away and there has been No announcement from apple. I’d put money on it not being tomorrow, it just wouldn’t make any sense without an announcement first, and not how they’ve ever done things in the past.

I dunno - do you really need that much advance warning for an online keynote? You don’t have to book tickets in advance and fly down all the way just to catch it. It’s more of just watching a livestream via a link now.

Why would they announce products via a press release when the next event will be virtual? Surely they would prefer to spend 5 minutes each one running through the new features. Prosser sounds like he is making assumptions from the pipeline of info he has; rather than it being concrete. I’m with Gurman, this press release has to be an update on when the virtual event will be happening.

I like how every article and and most people are so excited and convinced by JP's "leaks" regarding the release dates, and then JP decided to hold his horses last minute and say "scheduled" instead of "will be announced/released tomorrow" LOL

I guess we'll all see who's going to laugh til the end by tomorrow:p

They announce via press release all the time. The Magic Keyboard for iPad, for example.

Online delivery date for basic 11" iPad Pro: first week of October.
Online delivery date of AW5 44mm: Not available

Combined with rumors and previous release tradition guessing new iPad Pro and AW6 announced tomorrow.
New iPhone mid October.

Maybe they need a new processor in the iPad Pro the keep things inline with the introduction of both the new iPhone and Apple silicon in Macs

Of course they do, and have done. But not so close to the annual event, that normally comprises of product releases. Do you think they would announce these products via press release now then have the iPhone event a few weeks later?

Just doesn’t make sense or sound like the Apple way of Marketing.

Yes because you have to give time for writers to clear schedules to cover the event, and make “room” in publishing schedules for it to be covered.

I'm confused about this "new" Air.

It's basically a 2018 Pro, so what's new, other than the name ?

And give me a Watch Series with a sapphire screen for all models.

Sounds more like a stripped-down pro. Shares the same form factor, but no Face ID (and evidently had Touch ID in the power button?). Will probably not have all the bells and whistles like quad-speakers, but should share the same accessories.

So it’s more of a 2018 iPad Pro “lite”, if that’s a thing?
