Name any “expert” that hasn’t gotten potential Apple announcements wrong. If you quit using their information then you will have a website dedicated to ‘No News Today’ and a bunch of posters complaining about that fact. Which seems to be what posters on this site (and I am not excluding myself) prefer to do.

It's not about being wrong. Indeed, everyone is expected to be wrong at some point.

It's when specific claims are made which are later proven to be wrong. Then using mental gymnastics to explain why his earlier claims were somehow right.

If I wanted to stop seeing his name in thread titles, I’m not supposed to speak up? What a stupid idea.

You obviously love Jon and you’d defend him no matter what (even though he was wrong today) so I’m not going to bother continuing this conversation with you as there’s no changing your mind. Have a good one.
How you came to that conclusion is beyond me. You couldn't be more wrong. That was my first post having to do with anything about him and it was actually about you. I couldn't care less about him and actually find it funny that he was wrong. People taking one side or the other about a leakers accuracy just boggles my mind. As if it matters.

Man, it amazes me for a website called Macrumors people get so bent out of shape about rumors.

Looking at Jon’s twitter he says “I got it wrong” so what does it matter? Its speculation and a bit of fun.

actually he was just guessing, so this place must be Macguessing forum not MacRumors

So how does he feel about himself now?

conspiracy theory: Prosser is a paid employee of Apple who's main job is to create fuss and build excitement over Apple

So Jon Prosser got it completely wrong, refuses to apologize or even just acknowledge that he is wrong, and continues to be arrogant and **** ass as ever. Wow, this guy.

well over a year ago I subscribed to his channel, and after watching him for a short period time, his arrogance, his language, his personality just really turned me off so I unsubscribed and haven’t been back. I see that he still up to his antics. I like people like Max Tech, Dave Lee, SuperSaf, Lisa from MobileTechReview and a few others there was so much more mature and enjoyable to watch.

So when he says that new watches and iPads are coming on September 8, with an Apple event scheduled for the week of October 12, I tend to believe him.
But this release schedule makes complete sense with the restrictions that are currently going on. Almost every series 5 model is completely out of stock, and if it’s true that Apple doesn’t plan to have an event until October, I highly doubt they’re gonna leave the Apple Watch with no supply for an entire month. What would their stockholders say? How would they report Septembers data at their quarterly earnings call, if the watch sold zero units because there were none available?
Of course Apple is not gonna do something stupid like that.
So tomorrow, we’re going to get new iPads and Apple watches.

Well he was wrong again; and his sources are likely compromised. There’s a theory that Apple purposefully leaked misleading information to different people to find who the leakers are. Since we had two opposite opinions the night before, it should be easier for Apple to track.

Also they can easily have two events. One next week for iPad and Apple watch, and the October event for iPhone and Mac.

They aren't announcing new iPhones next week. They haven't even started production on them. Prosser is correct, these things will be majorly delayed. Dont expect to see the high end models till Dec. Thanks a lot Apple.

Do the folks who follow these cottage industry classes still buy Apple products for actual productive use or just to have the latest status symbols? Are you using it to learn, listen music, watch videos, keep notes, do your taxes, communicate with friends and family, try to make your society much better and more efficient?

Yup I do all of that with my XS Max.
