Apple Accessories tend to value form over function. The protectors most certainly do look very nice. Since you're done with your 3g, would you mind performing an intensive scratch test on it and recording it and putting it on youtube?

Basically like any other scratch test you can use scissors and a key, and with pressure rub those items against the protector in a back and forth and oscillating motion. Then put it under light to see if there are any scratches.

Hurricane you must of got caught in your own storm because that response is off tract, off topic, just off.

1: Your form over function comment has no bearing here
2: The protectors look nice? It's a thin piece of clear plastic.
3: Since I'm done with my 3G? What storm cloud did you pull this one out of?
You made an assumption
4: Scratch test? Who the he'll is talking about scratch test
5: The test you describe is called abuse.

If you need this test done for whatever strange reason I suggest you clear out your bank account, pony up and buy the-3G protector and do your own "Consumer Report" testing.

Strange

why in the world would you use water on a static protector??????

It aids in the application of the overlay. Using the wet method allows you to get it right the first time, because the fluid allows you to float or slide the overlay into perfect position. Also, bubbles are a lot easier to squeegee out using the wet method.
