How is Everbodys Golf anyway? I like that series.

I've never been into the series. I usually go for the more realistic games (ie Tiger Woods) but I wanted a golf game and my girlfriend thought it looked fun. Anyway... It a fun game. If I'm reading the Japanese correctly there is a new way of swinging that is kinda cool. (Since I'm not used to the series it may be on previous versions, but I think the Japanese says that it is new for this version.) It's better than the usual power bar. My only problem is I have trouble getting enough back spin at times.

How is Everbodys Golf anyway? I like that series. Oh and as 2ny says. Pony up with the review of Folk Soul / FolkLore or do we have to beat you with a stick for it ?

EG is great, very addicting to be more precise. I have always loved the series but the additions in it and the graphics just make it phenomenal.

Folks Soul, well where to begin. It's a great game, i love how they integrated Six Axis in to the gameplay (you pull back on it to suck in the souls) and made it really fun to use. Gameplay wise its great, as close to "perfect" as any PS3 game i've played. I've logged about 6 hours in to it and i have yet to get to a point where im "bored" with the game. I'll follow up this weekend with a more formal review if you all want?

Minna no Golf has English? I'll have to go back and take a look at that. Also to add to that list... Ridge Racer is also in English.

It auto-detected English as my default language. I honestly think they are just making one disc and packaging it differently for all or some regions. Make sure your account is set as English only, my main one is setup for the US region. My other account is Japan region English/Japanese and it plays the game in Japanese.

You read correctly, there is a completely new way of swinging the club which is supposed to me more realistic. It has a new learning curve but its a much better system than the old bar based one.

On a totally unrelated note I will be starting a new job with a Japanese company in November, I'll work in their Foster City, CA offices until July/August 08 and then I will be transitioned to their Tokyo offices for 2-2.5 years. I'm beyond excited, there will be much drinking this weekend. Best part is that they are paying for my accommodations when I am in Tokyo so I will have more money free to waste.. erm invest in my video game habit. Anyone interested in assuming my BMW lease?

Can't wait for Minna no Golf/Everybodys Golf - upskirt galor - thanks to the new wind system hehe.

Had the PS3 for 4-5 months now - at first didn't get much play, just had Motostorm and had lost interet, but with the new Firmware updates, its getting better and better. Lately though tring to fight with the media server to get it to play stuff off my macpro.

But anyhow backt to games. Since Rainbow 6 Vegas came along, the PS3 runs hot nearly everyday after work. So any R6V players, give me a shout (PSN Handle badlydrawn) - I am not that good at it, but practise makes perfect, eh... *cough cough*.
Another thing regarding R6V - does it look quite dark for you guys? I am running it on a Bravia LCD via HDMI and just can shake the feeling its slightly on the dark side.

I also have Splinter Cell, though I haven't touched it yet so I can't say if it is any good.

Anyhow thats enough from me. : )

^Does you HDTV has settings like: cinema, user, live and etc..

If it does then play around with it....R6V does that to me when I put my set on cinema.

Any of you guys playing Madden 08 on Ps3 hows it looking at playing? I know Madden in itself isnt a quick pace games but studdering and choppy animations isnt fun. Any comments?

The occasional stutter and lagged pitch doesn't really bother me. Honestly it's nowhere near as bad as the fud slinging media and blogs would lead you to believe. It is quite playable and a lot of fun.

Weee got a bit further in Everybody's Golf 5, and then got my arse handed to me in a online room.... where is Riggz when I need a win

My revised Pre-Order List... I'll probably pick up Dewy or Nights, I haven't decided yet. This is from my latest Amazon Order frenzy. I already have Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Prime reserved. I will DL Warhawk once available on the PSN Store.

Fall of Man for PS3 is lots of fun....has some cool weapons, and I've loved it with 4 player versus.

I don't understand this post at all, are you saying you have Everybody's Golf 5 working in English or not? It is completely Japanese here.
