3 can also mean Triple so why didn't you name it the Playstation Triple?

This OP is rather a curious fellow.

well actually it doesnt, some of the current 360 models have hd-dvd which is pointless since its not being used anymore. also with the 360 it costs a fortune to upgrade the harddrive, i paid £40 for a 160gb harddrive for my ps3, which by the way i can also plug in an external USB hard drive of any capacity, so i can actually have so much more harddrive space then the 360. also older versions of the 360 arent even in full hd, and not to mention that they dont even use standard hdmi cables, what is up with that????

and pc's dont actually have higher res since full hd-tvs are in 1920 by 1080, which if you work out through the number of pixels actually on screen is greater than the standard 1280x1024

1920x1080 = 2073600pixels
1280x1024 = 1310720pixels
1440x900(widescreen moniter) = 129600pixels

also pcs have only got better graphics on about one game, that being crysis which to be able to play on highest everything, well you need a dam high spec PC (quad core 2.6, atleast 1gb graphics and about 2gb ram, which is way too expensive). and not a huge number of computers actually have blu-ray in them anyway...also for controls, well you can plug in a usb mouse and keyboard (wired or wireless) into the ps3, and some games on the ps3 such as UT3 let you use mouse and keyboard instead of the gamepad

You don't know what you're talking about.

First of all, the HD-DVD thing is an add-on on the 360. They don't come with the console. Second of all, all versions of the 360 are capable of outputting 1080p through VGA.

No, PCs still definitely are capable of outputting higher resolutions than consoles. Even Apple's 30" ACD has a 2560 by 1600 resolution, which is higher than any television on the market.

Third of all, no Crysis is not the only game with better graphics than console games. That is so far from the truth, and even at that, a good PC can play games at a higher fps, while that same game is running at 30 fps on a console.

I voted for both the Wii and Xbox 360.

I love Nintendo's first-party games, so I had to get a Wii on launch. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are enough to get me through the next few years. :p

Scratch that, because I desperately want an Xbox 360 for Viva Pinata, Bioshock, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Resident Evil 5 once it releases. All of those are mostly single-player games, so I don't care about the $50 a month for Xbox Live.

As for Playstation 3, none of its exclusives really interest me. And screw the Blu-Ray because I have my consoles on my 28" SDTV in my room. No point in having a high-definition media format if I don't have a high-definition TV.

Wii

But for me, its not the console, its the games

And Wii has the most games I like(so far)

PS3 and 360 both have good games too, which I like.

PS3: I bought the PS3 late last year knowing good and well how much better the 360 was. But since I don't care about that anymore and the best PS3 titles are just around the corner, I am glad I went this route. As for Games, I don't want to list them all here so please see this list for all of them. But big names include Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy 13, Resistance 2, Haze, Little Big Planet, and a bunch more.
providing you mean around the corner a few years from now on FFXIII ;)

I have all 3 and I play my PS3 the most by far. My Wii gets some love from my gf since she adores Mario Kart (meh, fun but meh) whereas my 360 is my....um.... noisy dust bin until something I want for it comes out. Just happens most games I'm playing are on the PS3 right now, GTAIV, Warhawk, Hot Shots, Echochrome, P3, Ico, (PS2... but whatever, Upscaling FTW)

I have both the Xbox 360 'Elite' (I got the Elite as I wanted all my consoles/TV's to match) and PS3, I have two of each game (One for each console).

The reason I got both was then I can kick everyones asses and not just the PS3 friends (Had PS3 first).

I love my xbox 360, but I do not have the other 2 consoles. I will agree with pretty much everything written, that the xbox 360 is way to loud, the hardware is less than reliable (although I have never had my console fail in the year I have had it.)

I chose the xbox 360 because of the games, (Gears of War, Bioshock, Halo series.) When I went to look at the ps3, the only good game was Resitance Fall of Man, and the console had been out for months. The hidef format war was in full swing (Who knew who would win?) and Sony wanted an arm and a leg for the unit itself. Add the lack of a good multiplayer system like xbox live, and no rumble in the controllers themselves, and the choice was clear to me. I donated my ps2 system and all the games I owned to an army unit serving in Fallujah and went with the xbox 360.

The ps3 has changed for the better since then. I think bluray is a big system seller (at least until they make affordable stand alone bluray players) now that that will be the hidef format with hddvd's defeat. They finally added rumble back into the system (I would guess that they put rumble controllers in the system box now?) Most games are on both systems, with just minor tweaks between the versions (COD 4, Orange Box, GTA 4.) Sony is working on Home, which if they do it right will make a xbox live type of service for the PS3.

I think that the big decision comes down to which ones your friends have for online play, and which system has more exclusive games. One of the good things about the cost of production of video games going up is that less and less exclusives are being made, which means we can enjoy the same great games no matter what system we purchase. I am hoping for MGS 4 to come to the 360 at some point, as I played MGS 1-3 on the ps2, but that's the only ps3 exclusive I am interest in, the rest of the "good" games I want to play are either xbox or multiplatform anyway (except the socom series.)

Nintendo games don't appeal to me, I was into apple 2 and pc gaming when nintendo got into the business, and almost all the games (that are not multiplatform) are geared way too much for kids for my tastes.
