AirPods continue to have a
6-week shipping estimate when purchased through
Apple's online store, but
AT&T's website currently has the wireless earphones in stock with free delivery in 3-5 business days.
AT&T sells AirPods for $159, the same price as Apple charges, but the carrier only ships to addresses within the United States, excluding P.O. boxes.
AirPods occasionally appear in stock through Apple resellers like AT&T, but typically not for very long due to a combination of limited supplies and strong demand. For that reason, prospective buyers should
order as quickly as possible.
AirPods, driven by Apple's custom W1 chip for one-tap setup, instantly connect to a nearby iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac when taken out of their charging case. The cord-free earphones use optical sensors and a motion accelerometer to detect when they are in your ears and automatically turn on.
Double tapping an AirPod invokes Siri by default, which can be used to adjust the volume, change the song, make a call, or get directions.
AirPods deliver up to five hours of listening time on one charge, and a 15-minute fast charge provides up to three hours of listening time. The charging case holds multiple additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time.

PSA: AirPods In Stock on AT&T's Website With Free 3-5 Day Shipping
[doublepost=1500440664][/doublepost]I purchased several sets of Apple AirPods on 07/18/2017 around midday. AT&T also offers free two day shipping, but only if you purchase another accessory to be included in your order. I thought this to be very odd, seeing as how I purchased three sets of Apple AirPods at once. My intention for purchasing three sets of AirPods is to keep one set in my office, one set in my vehicle of choice, and one set in my computer bag; the latter of which is with me all day, Monday thru Friday.
To be sure that more were available prior to this post, I created a shopping cart with twelve sets of AirPods, totaling $2,060.64 - after New York taxes were added to it. You are limited to selecting no more than four at a time, so you must repeatedly return to the page to add additional AirPods to your cart. With twelve in the cart, I was eligible to checkout, but the shipping offers remained the same: '3-5 business days - Free' and 'Two business days - $14.95.' I did purchase the Two Business Day option when checking out, because the other option could have likely delayed my order until an arrival date as late as Tuesday, 07/25/2017.
Other than that, I don't really think there is more to be shared here. Considering each person here is a member of the forum, it is unlikely that I would know something you do not, unless we are discussing the technology and chipset, at which point my IT Engineering life would immediately take control. Good luck to all perspective buyers out there. Because AT&T has not advertised to the public that they now have a full supply of AirPods available for purchase, AT&T has managed to keep them in stock for a period of time that would be unfathomable if being sold at any other authorized retailer location/ website. Get them while they're hot and fresh!! Then throw some DMX on them shiz and configure a damn server, dude! Haha

AIRPODS AT WALMART AS OF
07/18/2017
HURRY BEFORE THEYRE ALL
GONE!!!
*If you want AirPods right away - SAME DAY - then check out the availability at your local Walmart store(s). Two stores in my immediate area have them in-stock and ready to pickup tomorrow morning when I drive to that town.* - NOT ONLINE - IN STORE ONLY!
So, after thoroughly reading all of these comments, I decided to look elsewhere, because I did not want to wait for days or weeks only for my order to be cancelled by AT&T. I checked Walmart, which I thought to be a lost cause. They do not have any online, but there were two stores near my location with AirPods in-stock. One location had three pairs in-stock, and the other an undisclosed amount, which I assume to mean that there is more than the threshold that alerts the customer of a low amount in-stock.
The coincidence is that I am traveling to a town tomorrow to configure a server and fully deploy it. The store with an undisclosed amount is within two miles of where I will be in said town. So, I went ahead and purchased my same order that I had at AT&T and selected 'Pickup In Store.' I'll be swinging by Walmart prior to going where it is that I need to configure this server.
