I had 11.0.1 and the problem also showed up. I used a statement with a terminal option. The installation was successful.

Sadly, my M1 MBA has video playback and internet connectivity issues so it's going back. Apple Tech stopped me from doing a macOS system recovery install since I did not have a second M1 machine available. 🙄
