For those who don't like the pastel colours; it's useful to know that these are light/dark theme dynamic, and the dark mode versions have much deeper shades.

The dark modes look far better.

Any way to extract the dark versions for use on iOS though? And to a lesser extent, in macOS while in light mode?

I think it automatically changes based on your system theme.
I use Dark Mode, so for me it's not a problem.

Yes for sure. The question is, is there any way to get the dark version without toggling the system-wide Dark Mode?

Yes, there is. You can select the light or dark one once it's been set as wallpaper.

I absolutely adore the green one. Which is odd because I'm usually not particularly fond of greens but this almost turquoise-style green tint seems to be pushing just the right buttons in my brain.

Hmmm... Happy to see them now in today's beta, but I get the sizing options in that drop-down, not the Light/Dark options.

UPDATED: Ah, it works if I drag the .heic file into the little preview window in the Desktop & Screen Saver pane, not if you right-click the file to Set as Desktop Picture.

Interesting. Must be different in the Beta then because I never dragged anzthing, I just right-clicked in the Library folder and set as desktop picture.

But then could you access the light/dark setting?

BTW woke up this morning to the new dark blue wallpaper and smiled. Just what I like.

Yes. I did have to restart System Preferences after changing the wallpaper because it doesn't notice a change in wallpaper performed outside of it while it is running (aka by right-clicking any photo in the Finder and setting it as Desktop Picture) but that was true for every wallpaper.

Managed to extract the dark versions for use on iOS/iPadOS/Whatever takes your fancy:
