My ancient iPad Air 2 received an update to iPad OS 15.7.3 yesterday. 🤷‍♂️
I’m not eligible to receive the 15.7.x updates because my phone is iOS 16 eligible. I believe the 15.7.x updates are for devices not eligible for iOS 16. :(

I reckon the security info at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213638 and https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201222 saying the new Safari for Big Sur and Monterey is 16.3.1 is incorrect and they should be changed to 16.3.
Apple have finally relented and changed it back to 16.3.

They have also added the build numbers to the information.

BUT ... do you notice something about those build numbers?

They say they are "167614.4.6.11.6 on macOS Big Sur and 177614.4.6.11.6 on macOS Monterey".

However they are actually 16614.4.6.11.6 on macOS Big Sur and 17614.4.6.11.6 on macOS Monterey.

Oh dear. Can't they get anything right?

And how ironic is this bit?

"Description: A type confusion issue was addressed with improved checks."

Apple ........... your typing is confusing everybody right now.

The macOS Ventura 13.2.1, iPadOS 16.3.1, and iOS 16.3.1 updates that Apple released today include minor bug fixes and address security vulnerabilities, and because one of the vulnerabilities was known to be exploited in the wild, it's important to update to the new software as soon as you can.

According to Apple's security notes for the updates, The software fixes a WebKit issue that could allow maliciously crafted web content to result in arbitrary code execution. Apple says that it is "aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited."

The vulnerability was a type confusion issue that Apple says has been addressed with improved checks.

While there are no other notable fixes in macOS Ventura 13.2.1, the iOS 16.3.1 update adds a Siri Find My fix, addresses a problem with iCloud settings, and introduces additional Crash Detection optimizations for iPhone 14 models.

After I performed the update to 13.2.1, this showed up, which System Setting says is from an "unidentified developer." Does anyone know what this is? Is it just pointing out something that was already in my system or did it add something?
