Pardon? A "rent" expires, buying a game does not.

Khm, YES, it DOES. Check the scandal about SONY's illegal SecuROM-based activation-limited DRM scandals.

It prevents precisely the main feature of a retail product: unlimited-unrestricted use and resale.

No, read the EULA again. That thing you agree to whenever you run licensed software.

As I pointed out most EULAs have NO LEGAL POWER due to the fact they sell their crap shrink-wrapped and I CANNOT RETURN MY COPY.

Moreover have you read any EULA form 1985? :D They are pretty funny sometimes... :)

You should have started off with this line earlier so we could have stopped reading. :)

And thus we could have saved others from wading through your funny, ill-informed posts about DRMs and all sorts of 'magical' things...:p

Hell I still don't know what app is the best for Leopard... ;)

Again: this is the type of "old world" - where megacorps control the laws - is coming to an END.

You live in the now, not in some fantasy world that allows you to do anything you want so long as it doesn't cause your lifestyle or wallet any harm. You purchased a license to play the software, you DO NOT own the IP to the software, nor are you the owner of said software. Plain and simple.

I'm sorry the machine hurt you or somehow forced you in to some sort of strange cult that makes you believe that you can do whatever you want with software that you do not legally own. The plain and simple fact remains that you bought a license to use the software, you did not buy the software, you do not own the software, you are not entitled to play it anywhere but on the cart/cd/media that it was licensed to you on.

While you may disagree with the EULA and the DMCA it is the law, this isn't some wild west where you can do anything you want just because you do not like it. What's next, you don't like to buy cars so you're going to justify stealing one? What you are doing and countless others are doing is stealing, its illegal and nothing you can say or spin it with will change that. The bottom line remains that it is illegal, if you don't like it send a letter to your congressman. I am sure with your great grasp using bold and your persuasive childlike tone they will listen and change the law.
