Excellent! Glad to hear you got it working. It's always so incredibly frustrating when it's something like that, and you've been doing everything right all along with no success.
i've just installed psx4all for the ipad but whenever i try to play a game (i've transferred the iso's to the correct location) psx4all just closes instantly. There is no error messages whatsoever. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?
Speaking of FF9, psx4all 3.0.0 fixed the problem of the flashing battle menu so I guess it's a lot more enjoyable when playing.
However I have another problem when I'm playing FF9. Have anybody reached to a point where Black Waltz #2 is dead? When the party is flying to Lindblum, there will be a scene of the airship taking off. My psx4all crashes when it's playing the scene. Can anybody successfully pass that point? I've tried applying different options of psx4all and tried 2 different disc images but no luck. Please help. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to access the menu in FF9 on the psx emulator? I keep pressing every button but nothing brings it up. I looked and there was no option to change the button settings. Does anyone have any idea?

i have the exact same problem with my ipod touch 4g....it's the same with final fantasy tactics and crash bandicoot 3....but somehow Vandal Hearts is working...all .bin files with .cue

3)Placed rom in .bin format and .cue image file in /var/mobile/Media/Roms/PSX
with both permissions also set to 755 (didn't work when i left the permissions too)

Using:
ipod touch 2g MB model 16GB (Jailbroken using redsn0w 0.9.6 b4)
Edit: Respring and reboot still gives the same result.
Please please help.

First time on this site and only found because I was searching google for help.
Ive downloaded psx4all but im having some trouble..
Ive used winSCP to gain access into my Ipad and put all my games into the PSX Folder.. Copied SCPH1001.bin into the folder and also all my games...
Ive changed it to 0755 in the properties but im still having trouble.
When im launching the games in the app, its just coming up with the pad part and the rest is blank... No game there at all!!!

Hmmm - FFVII and FFIX never had terrible problems via PSP emulations (FFVII made some strange sounds when one of your characters attacked an enemy, FFIX never really had any problems) but FFVIII - unfortunately my absolute favourite FF - never really worked properly (freezes when Scanning/Drawing, non-skippable FMVs that froze etc). I never got to play it
Can anyone who has played FFVIII tell me/point me in the direction of a website/forum where its various problems can be discussed? I've not really be interested in iPhone PSX emulation up until now (use my PSP, more suited to it) but if I can get FFVIII working (read: playable), then I'm more than willing to do some digging.

Guess what? Same here. I can't get the bloody thing working, and I've tried two .bins, EBOOTs and now a .iso. No love.
If only I knew what was wrong > : (
I am in the same boat. I've an original Ipad and can't seem to get a game to work with psx4all. I see the controls but with a blank screen on top.
Wow, this is what I get for not paying attention - I didn't know PSX games on the iPhone 4 were even possible. I went out and got a PSPGo some time ago so I could play exactly that: FFVII and FFIX.
Hi guys. I still have the problem of my ROMS not showing even when putting the BIOS file everywhere you have talked of .
The issue is im a windows user and cant set the 0755 permisions. I was wondering whether you could help me out by either a tutorial or hosting the file on media fire or something.
