Purchase of new iMac 21.5". Thoughts/Help??

What about the screen? It's attached to the glass and comes off in one piece.

Let's face it; you fall into the paranoid idiot category.

It's a simple and easy upgrade. As stated, the Genius Bar techs are no smarter than the average repair guy. Buy the replacement two way tape and it's a simple process.

So, having to take apart the screen with a heat gun is...?

Quoting iFixit directly: You'll have to masterfully peel off the old double-sided sticky tape and apply new tape in order to reseal this iMac into original condition.

Not sure whether the average bloke knows how to do this, eh?
