Ok, almost got it. Understood, becoming much easier to understand.
However, what do you guys mean Insert Your SIM card / and insert yours which I marked in red below?
Do you mean my current T-Mobile SIM card that I have in my iPhone SE here in Europe?

1. Go into an Apple Store, tell them you want to buy an iPhone X "device only" with no activation(again doesn't matter which model).
2. Insert your SIM card
3. Done

Remove the sim and insert yours and set up as you would normally do a new phone.

I would really greatly appreciate the steps in detail as to explain to me on how would I go about purchasing an unlocked iPhone X in the States from the Apple Store paying in full price for the phone. Does not have to be at this moment, but it would be very helpful. Just please list the steps. I would prefer going with T-Mobile GSM. Before purchasing the phone from the Apple Store, do I need to speak with a carrier such as T-Mobile to discuss my payment plan options?
If you want to use one of the 4 Carriers that Apple sells with include nano-SIMs then you just walk in to the Apple Store and purchase the iPhone X on the Carrier of your choice and chose to activate a new Carrier post-paid plan. It can all be done in one stop at the Apple Store. Again, you have multiple choices for plans from each of the 4 major carriers.

You can also purchase directly via the Apple.com web site and have it shipped directly to your address and ready to active with one of the 4 Selected Carriers.

If you want to chose something like you have been using in Europe, then you want a pre-paid plan. There are lots of choices that offer different options. You really should spend some time researching to find the best fit for your individual needs. Examples were mentioned above as to some of the many choices for pre-paid providers.

So this is a new change for the X? Recently, I was looking at the apple.com website, and before you could get very far, you had to enter in valid account information for a carrier, such as Verizon.

Just checked, and I see it is different now. I wanted to get a CDMA model, but I am on Verizon Prepaid. There wasn't an option for activate later.

So I decided to go with ATT, and ordered the phone through BestBuy since verizon has been getting worse where i work. I was able to pick up the phone the next day (yesterday). I'll activate it in a week after I use up some of the data on my prepaid plan.

If I don’t have a current plan with a carrier in the states yet, then how would the phone activate when purchasing from an Apple Store? That part I really don’t get.

And if the phone is activated after getting it from the Apple Store using the Apple Store provided SIM from one of the 4 carriers, will I then need to select the plan from the carrier I selected?

If you are buying full price in store, there is nothing to activate.

Yes you will have to contact the carrier to select your plan if you choose to activate later.

You can pick one of the 4 carrier's plans in the Apple Store and activate it right there choosing a post-paid plan. Since you are paying full price, you can also chose not to activated it on any of the 4 Major Carriers in the Apple Store and just pick your iPhone X and walk out the door and insert a pre-paid nano-SIM that you purchased from your chosen Carrier.

You can pre-purchase a pre-paid nano-SIM from about a dozen Carriers, some are owned by the 4 Major Carriers and some are know as MVNO and they pay one or more of the 4 Major Carriers to reuse their networks.

It is not really as hard as you are making it. You just need to determine what you budget is and how much data you want to purchase. This is what will determine what plan you select: a Carrier post-paid plan or a pre-paid plan from one of the 4 Major Carriers or a third-party pre-paid provider.

1) Go to Apple Store and buy full price Verizon or T Mobile phone
2) Go to T Mobile with your phone and pick a cellular plan, get sim from them

The thread starter is just playing games with you guys. He/she has asked the same question 7 times in 29 posts. His/her English is very good,as good as anyone here,as are his/her comprehension skills. The questions have been answered several times. I am all about helping folks but this is abusing the good will.

It just means that once you arrive to the States, you can go to one of the four carriers (ATT, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile) and purchase, let's say for example, a prepaid plan (a plan for 1 months service), that carrier issues you a SIM card, you then remove the SIM card that came with your X, insert the SIM card from the carrier you signed up with, and start the process of setting up your X right out of the box.

What I meant by Activating, is when I start the iPhone setup process, the part where it activates after I choose the WiFi network.
