Push Notifications not working?

I made this thread the other day. I have the same problem, except I start getting notifications after rebooting the phone. Or someone else suggested to just cycle airplane mode.

thank u this helped my notification problem.. most of my apps use push notifications and just yesterday all of them stopped sending them.. i was gonna restore my phone but thought i would try other solutions before i do.. and it was as simple as this i just turned on airplane mode then off again and all the notification started pushhing again.. thanx

So for the most part the choices are turning on/off airplane mode, rebooting, restoring, or removing and reinstalling the app?

My issue is, I don't get push on fb 90 percent of the time. Or when I get a notification it's either old as in (10 mins/15 mins) or on the fb icon it will say i have a new notification when I already checked it. Sometimes it won't show on the fb icon on the home screen that I have a new comment, etc, but when I go in I see that I have a few comments, and the newest prob is I uploaded a pic, someone commented on it, but when I go to the notification to see what the comment is, its showing a different picture. Also the newest picture is not showing in the album only in the new feed. From my comp it shows the new pic. Help please.

Given up on push.

I have pretty much given up on all hope with these damn push notifications. They come in sporadic at best. Facebook is hit-and-miss. Words with friends hasn't worked since the day I installed it (or reinstalled it). Sportacular hasn't skipped a beat.

I have tried, uninstalling/reinstalling apps, turning off push/restarting phone, power cycling, hard resetting, full restore, restore as new phone, jailbreaking, etc. You name it, I have tried it.

I have learned to live without push, and it's sad because the intent of it was awesome.

My buddy, same phone. No problem. Gets 100% push all the time.

I have a 3GS 16GB for the record.

I agree. The point foe buying the phone, along with otherq things is to get my notifications. Nothing compares to bb's notification. I at least get my mail notifications. I don't have any other apps besides facebook to really test things out. I get my texts from infinite SMS so that's cool.
