Thanks for the tip and link BookEmDanno. This modified wallpaper not only fixed the issues with beta 1,2 and 3 Mojave, but more importantly it doesn't require location services or wifi to be turned on, it just takes the info from your current time zone and clock settings - Apple, are you listening? If your issue with dynamic wallpaper is that it does not change or transition based on time during dark mode, there is a temporary fix.
You can use a customized "wallpaper" ~ Mojave Full (Dynamic) ~. It's working for me on my unsupported MBAir 2011.

I had to go back into my wallpaper settings to re-enable it. Make sure that you have “dynamic” selected and not one of the still ones.Dynamic Desktop not working for me on Beta 4. I turned location services off, then back on. Still no joy. Anyone else?
Thanks. Still can't get it working. I notice that in my Date&Time settings, under Time Zone, I have a message saying that it's unable to determine my current location at this time... Not sure how to fix that, or if it's just a bug, or something with my wifi network...I had to go back into my wallpaper settings to re-enable it. The fact that it's called 'Solar gradients', uncapitalised, suggests to me a lack of attention to detail and that it's not actually meant to be public-facing and was only for internal testing. I could be wrong, but seems odd.The Desert work for me, but the new Gradient Solar not work!
