I've heard conflicting things about refurbished/replacement Apple Watches. Some suggest they don't seem to go through the same QC as replacement iPhones and have arrived with lots of surface imperfections. What has been your experience, those of you who have received replacements?

Thanks

I think the results vary. I have read where some forum members have received newer Watches in flawless condition and others have said there replacement Watch arrived used with scratches on the casing. Apple will stand behind it either way and make it right if something were to not be on par with your expectations.

Here is a thread discussing more in detail of other members results and feedback with their replacement Apple Watches.

not cool. heard several similar stories. guessing that because of the cost to make the watch and the smaller number that are out there and the difficulty repairing them, compared to the iphones, they may be trying to recycle more returned watches without replacing all of the exterior parts.

Not sure about others but when my 1st gen AW died on me last week, apple replaced it with a new Series 1.

About six months ago I picked up a refurbished Series 2 SB SS and it was perfect. I saved $90, which was nice. Helped to pay for some extra aftermarket bands. I have also bought refurbished iMacs, MacBook Pro's, iPads, Time Capsules and never had a problem with any of them. Even if I did, Apple will stand behind them. I also buy AppleCare. I see they just put up a bunch of refurbished watches up today. I have to say though, the Series 2 SB SS looks great and is tough!

The one time I had my watch repaired the glass and case weren't tight and there's light bleeding around the display

Just my experience, but you asked so I shared
