Question firmware software upgrade?

Just got a software notice for the pro a firmware upgrade has anyone done this? and how does it work vs not doing it.

Do you talk about the Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.5?

Do you experience any of the listed problems?

About Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.5

This update is recommended for all Mac Pro (Mid 2010) models and addresses the following issues:

• Resolves an issue that prevented the firmware password prompt from being displayed
• Resolves an issue that prevented the Boot Picker from being presented if Ethernet is connected to a network without DHCP

No which is why I was not looking to do it.

I experienced the Boot Picker issue, and it's indeed resolved by the update. As others have noted elsewhere, you have to press and hold the power button (after the Mac shuts down) until the LED blinks.

But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. 😉
