I think the other thing that might
help with the iPhone X Plus is trying to find the most minimalistic and less obtrusive case that provides adequate protection, but *not* too bulky. It Helps inside the pocket and you would be surprised how much more easy it can be to carry without having a large case intact. Apples OEM silicone and leather cases are good example of this.

I never needed to use a case for my Pluses as they were a very good fit in hand. What bothered me was having to take it out of my pocket every time I was getting in a car or sitting down.

yea, totally this^^^

That's the main reason I would rather switch to something slightly smaller, like the current X and definitely nothing any bigger!!

I am in your exact position, I have a 7 Plus and am planning on getting the 2018 X (Xs?). Of course I won't know for sure until the announcement. What always kept me coming back to the plus was the camera. I have the 10.5 iPad Pro that I use at home so the smaller form factor doesn't bother me as much.

My thoughts are similar to yours. Although I probably will end up with the 6.5 iPhone X. Mainly because I want the larger display and larger battery. Everything else that comes with the iPhone 6.5 X that we don’t know about, is merely a bonus for me at this point. Although I don’t welcome the idea of having a larger phone to carry around, I realize there has to be to trade off if you want a larger display/battery.
Let's be real here, you absolutely know you're getting this

So it’s like the 8 plus with no bezels. That sounds great to me.

I not crazy about the aspect ratio. Ive owned two of the plus size phones and the androids just felt better in the hand. I opted for the pluses due to the terrific battery life. For the past several years I’ve alternated between android and iPhone and was leaning toward the 11 plus but if it’s going to be the old fat dimensions I’ll get the Note 9 instead. It’s got a 4K mah battery this time so that’s reason enough to skip the fatboy iPhone plus. Apple figures they will probably make more money by designing around old platform dimensions and then introduce and ‘enhanced’ slimmer design next year.

The Plus was always just a tad too big for my taste. The X filled that niche nicely and almost feels small while in my hand. The screen is more than adequate and the quality of the OLED more than makes up for the marginal increase in size of the Plus. Now that it will be available in a Plus size, the OLED, you might consider it if you aren't bothered by the overall size of the device. The bonus is a bigger battery and the larger OLED shouldn't use much more energy than the smaller version. Which should translate to longer battery life for a larger device. I'm amazed at how long you can keep a screen open and how little energy consumption, relative to the previous screens, there is. GPU is the battery killer now.

I came from the 7 Plus and the size and weight of the X is just perfect for me.

I upgraded after 14 months with the 7+ to the X. Would have normally waited 2 years, but it was just a little too big for me. Not so much to use, but to carry.

I've seen no rumors pushing for me to upgrade to a new model this fall.

Went from 6 plus to the X and the size is just awesome. I enjoyed my Plus, but I love the size of the X more. The screen is big enough and the phone is much more manageable.

Gauging from this thread, iPhone users may appreciate a full-featured 6.1" as a happy medium between the other two?

For me, 6.1 is the absolute biggest I'd go, for practicality sake. It's not great for one handed use, but I could make it work.

I have an iPhone 8 plus since day 1.
I tried the X of a friend of mine, and also in an Apple Store, and I must admit that after 11 months of use of the 8 plus, the X seems small, to me.

Will update to X plus.

6+, 6s+, 7+ then X , am definitely jumping back on the + wagon. Amongst its numerous use case , its also my "ikindle" on the go ;)hence the extra screen display is a bonus

I had a 7 Plus and bought the X at launch. I never had any issues with the screen size. I am looking at the X Plus as I wouldn't mind having more screen. I am considering selling my work computer, an iPad Pro, and going with an iPhone X Plus only for work and personal, but haven't decided yet. I need to see if there are any split screen capabilities coming to the X Plus.

I had the Plus sizes from the start and was initially dubious about getting the iPhone X. But I now find the X a much better size, more comfortable in the hand and most important comfortable in my pocket to carry. I have no wish to go back to the huge slab of the Plus again.

When I want a larger screen, I reach for my iPad Pro - the iPhone is to me purely for mobile use when I can’t use the iPad. My iPhone screen time is only a fraction that of the iPad Pro.

This helped me a lot with my 7 Plus. Even the Apple ones are too big in my eyes. I like the Caudabe "the veil XT" for the normal Plus sized phones. If I do go with an X Plus, I'll need to get me one of those.

you def have to give the X more than the 14 days....i def think its the sweet spot after using it for about 4 months now.
i picked up my plus and threw it back in my drawer - dont think ill ever have the plus size again.

I'm looking forward to the XL / X Plus. I went from the 7 Plus to the X and while I do enjoy the pocket-ability and can reach all areas of the screen easily, I will not hesitate to go to the larger version of the X. I do miss more screen real estate. The biggest day to day change to a smaller footprint was typing on the phone. I found myself making many more typos on the smaller X than I did on the 7 Plus. The longer battery life of the Plus size phone will be a nice addition too.

For me, it's dependent on the weight. I have an 8+ now and opted not to get the X when it came out. If the X+ is as heavy or heavier than the 8+, I'll be going with the smaller 5.8 version.

I went from the 7 Plus to the X and I like the size of the X. I will be buying the X Plus (or whatever it's called). I want it for the bigger screen and with time I'll adjust to the size of the phone.

For me it was the proverbial “love at first sight”, or at least the first time I picked it up and put in my pocket.
