It looks really credible, but I call fake. Wouldn't the color of the box be matched with the color of the phone? As is with the current packaging? Black box for black iPhones and white box for white iPhones? Why isn't the box colored black?

I considered the unequal distribution of elements on the iPhone 5 bottom as extremely ugly. This home button + halo effect is definitely killing the beauty of the (original) design.

Gracious!

An EXTREMELY sensitive aesthetic sensibility...

I think removing the rounded square graphic from the button is an improvement. It didn't really seem to serve any purpose.

Maybe. But things like a sapphire screen, IGZO technology or special features like GRAM to save battery wouldn't be apparent on the box.

I doubt it if a normal user would care about that, most people want another screen size.

It could be that the white phone will come with an all white background in a black box.

Probably a stupid comment but if it does have a finger sensor I hope it works well with a thumb as I can't remember the last time I used any of my fingers to press the home button!

It was used to signify that it'd take you to the home screen, where all of your apps are. The rounded corners matched the radius of the apps as well.

If they decide to keep the rounded square on the home button, the radius will be changed to match the radius of iOS 7 app icons now.

Why don't people in these situations ever have a decent camera?!

This is exactly why I think this pic is legit :)
Because I think they have to sneak in a spycam to get these pictures and probably are searched when they go into these facilities.

I also think it's legit because one of the main selling points of the 5S allegedly will be the finger scanner, which is why it makes sense to have a front facing picture rather than an angled picture IMO. They also probably want to draw attention to iOS7, whereas the iPhone5 focused on the physical redesign, as opposed to the software.
