How do you get "an android device" out of that? Apple TV and HomePod are both Apple products.

Are you serious? Are you a professional double speaker?

Nothing to do with iOS devices, this is Appletv and HomePod , I actually don’t expect people to understand that don’t have both I guess

You clearly said that you are not having a problem with an iOS device. If you're not having a problem with an iOS device then it's either Android or Windows.

How about this why don't you explicitly list out in full detail what you are using so we don't have to keep guessing.

Um, I didn't write that second quote. The OP @Mercury7 did.

In his original post the OP clearly states he's having issues with the audio being out of sync when sending the audio from YouTube TV, on his Apple TV, to a HomePod. Which I was able to duplicate.

You might want to go back and re-read the OP's original post.

As I said, I was able to duplicate your issue and I've got some questions:

1. What model of Apple TV?
2. What version of tvOS?
3. Have you reported it to Google?

Appletv 4, not 4K
Currently 13 although this began before 13
Yes, depending on who you get, some of them seem unaware of the problem and try to direct you to do the normal trouble shooting but have spoken with somethat acknowledged the issue and basically just said they were looking at it, that was two weeks ago, asked for an update and got someone else that was not aware again..... google kinda sucks that way

I am concerned there are too few of us to get on their radar, ie use Appletv for youtubetv plus using an airplay speaker.... those three together dwindles the number of people with this problem by a lot

Right. You say the problem started before you were using tvOS 13 beta. We’re you also using the tvOS 12 betas? Are you in the developer program, AppleSeed or public beta?

Is there anyway you can try this on the GM of tvOS 12.3, which was the last public release?

Wait this is related to a beta... this should have been mentioned sooner.

Can you try non-beta software to see if the problem is the beta?

What device are you using to stream to the Apple TV 4. (To know the entire system configuration you’re using, it will help for a bug report to have this)

The good news is only having the 4 and not the 4K shouldn’t make a difference other then speed. I have a 4 and a 4K and they run the same software.

I did not go to beta til after this problem occurred, it was part of my trying everything to fix it, At this point I am certain it was a google update that killed it,there was two others on twitter that were aware almost immediately, they reported to google also
[doublepost=1562960226][/doublepost]Also should note all my other streaming services are in sync, amazon, Netflix, etc.. also tested a few individual network apps, they all work fine

Ok. What is the device you’re streaming from to the Apple TV and speaker?

Great. So it’s not a bug between the tvOS 13 beta and YouTube TV. It doesn’t sound like there’s much else we can do to help at this point. What I would suggest is you turn off beta updates, restore your Apple TV to tvOS 12.3 and get all over Google about it. It is definitely a problem with the implementation of AirPlay in the YouTube TV app.

Thanks, hopefully at some point media will call google out on it in an article and then they will fix it, I only fault Apple for allowing it, they should have standards of compliance for Appletv apps just like they do the iOS AppStore

Apple was in a no win situation. If Apple allows it they get you complaining about it. If they deny it they get Google's lawyers suing them for anti trust. They already have to attend to the frivolous lawsuit for the app store "monopoly".

No one cares because there is a native You Tube app on the Apple TV and it works fine. Sounds like it's really only an issue for you. Good luck.

That wasn’t a very good response. I hate the Apple TV app. It is horribly buggy compared to the iphone and ipad versions. It’s so much easier to use on other devices. I got tired of fighting the AppleTV app and just gave up. Have done the same for most streaming services as well. It’s just easier to deal with the interfaces on the phone or ipad.

Sometimes it just seems like the Apple TV is STILL not ready for prime time to me and still just a “hobby” at Apple. I can’t even get the scrensaver to change over like I would like. It’s just a more cumbersome device than it had to be as far as I am concerned.

I’m concerned that the Apple TV will be dropped. There are quite a few signs it could be.

You mean google dropping support? I won’t buy an Android device for the feature.

More and more I think we need another YouTube out there to compete.

Just posting update, still broke, guess they are not going to support airplay

There is a definite misunderstanding going on in this thread, sorry if I was not clear, an app on Appletv has to be coded to airplay audio to airplay speakers, 99% of them are, youtubetv app was three weeks ago but they updated their app and dropped airplay support so your only option now is to use the tv speakers
Call me a skeptic but I find it hard to believe even Google would deliberately push out an app for the sole purpose of breaking a feature and then just walk away, but I may be underestimating them. I guess time will tell.*Edit* Just looked at the date of the first post. You may be right.
