How do you get "an android device" out of that? Apple TV and HomePod are both Apple products.

Um, I didn't write that second quote. The OP @Mercury7 did.
In his original post the OP clearly states he's having issues with the audio being out of sync when sending the audio from YouTube TV, on his Apple TV, to a HomePod. Which I was able to duplicate.
You might want to go back and re-read the OP's original post.
Appletv 4, not 4KAs I said, I was able to duplicate your issue and I've got some questions:
1. What model of Apple TV?
2. What version of tvOS?
3. Have you reported it to Google?
Appletv 4, not 4K
Currently 13 although this began before 13
Yes, depending on who you get, some of them seem unaware of the problem and try to direct you to do the normal trouble shooting but have spoken with somethat acknowledged the issue and basically just said they were looking at it, that was two weeks ago, asked for an update and got someone else that was not aware again..... google kinda sucks that way

Wait this is related to a beta... this should have been mentioned sooner.Appletv 4, not 4K

I am concerned there are too few of us to get on their radar, ie use Appletv for youtubetv plus using an airplay speaker.... those three together dwindles the number of people with this problem by a lot
Ok. What is the device you’re streaming from to the Apple TV and speaker?I did not go to beta til after this problem occurred, it was part of my trying everything to fix it, At this point I am certain it was a google update that killed it,there was two others on twitter that were aware almost immediately, they reported to google also
[doublepost=1562960226][/doublepost]Also should note all my other streaming services are in sync, amazon, Netflix, etc.. also tested a few individual network apps, they all work fine
Thanks, hopefully at some point media will call google out on it in an article and then they will fix it, I only fault Apple for allowing it, they should have standards of compliance for Appletv apps just like they do the iOS AppStore
No one cares because there is a native You Tube app on the Apple TV and it works fine. Sounds like it's really only an issue for you. Good luck.
I’m concerned that the Apple TV will be dropped. There are quite a few signs it could be.
Call me a skeptic but I find it hard to believe even Google would deliberately push out an app for the sole purpose of breaking a feature and then just walk away, but I may be underestimating them. I guess time will tell.*Edit* Just looked at the date of the first post. You may be right. There is a definite misunderstanding going on in this thread, sorry if I was not clear, an app on Appletv has to be coded to airplay audio to airplay speakers, 99% of them are, youtubetv app was three weeks ago but they updated their app and dropped airplay support so your only option now is to use the tv speakers
