"March 6, 2018 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA today announced it will offer consumers in the U.S. an incredible Apple experience in their cars starting May 1, 2018, which includes up to six months free of Apple Music* with the purchase of any new Chrysler, Dodge, FIAT, Jeep® or Ram vehicle with standard CarPlay support".

If FIAT can insert clauses highlighted above into their statements announced to the public as a selling point (read the actual article), I am allowed to round my number to $30K when referring to a car with CarPlay built-in as standard equipment, not an exaggerated price for such a car in the USA!

Fiat cars can priced in the teens in the USA, or its Alfa Romeo at three to more than six times the price.

This offer is not from Apple, while the offer of free satellite radio is usually from the provider, channeled thru the automaker.

You are now welcome to remove the stick from its current location.
At best, it's designed to sell people on the upgraded CarPlay package. You're being ridiculous. Nobody expects to literally sell an entire car on 6 months of Apple Music. You're just splitting hairs to crap on Fiat, and it's pretty obvious.

Amazon is definitely looking for a second location but I didn't know one of their reasons was to raise the surrounding property values.

Cause and effect. Just like prisons which lower property values.
My county is doing everything it can to get Amazon to build it’s next hq. We have a nice property ready to go.

Six months of free Apple Music when you purchase a vehicle guaranteed to be in the shop for six months

Apple ridiculed the Surface Pro and mocked the "kick stand", but as someone who carries three devices when traveling (iPhone, iPad and Windows laptop) I think a laptop that can work well as a laptop and tablet will be the future. One less piece of equipment to carry/charge.

I'm not saying the Surface Pro is there yet, but I think the appeal of carrying a laptop and a phone, sans tablet, will be the popular.

I don't think Apple's ever "ridiculed" or mocked the Surface. They've just said they don't see a hybrid product like that as part of their strategy.

I don't see any reason for them to lie about their motives, and I don't see any reason for them to change their mind. We're probably more likely to get a convertible iPad that can function like a laptop than we are to see a touch screen MacBook.

The square footage is irrelevant. The final cost is all that matters if you can only have one house on it.

I wonder what the property taxes are like on that house? Where I live, there are a few houses that sell for 7 figures, and have a 5 figure annual property tax.

I have friends in an area in Texas where property taxes are skyrocketing. They said that they are going to have to move b/c they can no longer afford the property taxes and insurance. Property taxes are used to build luxurious schools and sports stadiums that are pricing out families who were well qualified for the PITI at time of purchase, but whose house valuation has now increased to double their property taxes and insurance.
My daughter lives in NY, and her 2 bedroom, 1 bath house payment is slightly less than her property tax and insurance.

An increase in property values is not a blessing if you have to move. I guess it's like a more affluent gentrification.

I've heard of a few Texas high schools that have built 7-8 figure football stadiums. I'm not a football fan, so to me, that sounds ridiculous. But whatever floats your boat. I live in Illinois in suburb, so we at least get what we pay for, with fairly good sized houses. Some people call them "McMansions," or "starter castles." They're not as big as some mansions you see in California or where ever, but I've seen 3,000 - 8,000 square feet so a family of 4 could do very well. However, some people are a little arrogant. They complain about how teachers in the schools don't live in the area. But how could they live here, when the property taxes for some places are as high as a teacher's salary?

The Surface Pro is not worth the premium that Microsoft charges. It is priced to compete with the MacBook Pro, but it's functionally competitive with the MacBook/iPad Pro. I owned the Surface Pro for 2 weeks, and I honestly loved about 85% of the machine. Unfortunately I was forced to return it because it just couldn't handle my workload. The missing 15% is critical.

I can help you guys make iTunes LP out of the template in Apple's website. I already have like a dozen LP's I made for myself and I can share them with you guys. This only applies to music purchased in the iTunes Store, I haven't tried with Apple Music because songs are linked to LP's by some ID code, Idk if Apple Music has IDs or if I can add them. If someone knows please confirm.

How does the bay area have cops or waiters or bartenders or social workers or teachers? You know, all the other people who make up a city.

They are living in tiny expensive apartments or are getting pushed out of the city and commuting at least an hour or two into the expensive cities. Lots of my coworkers living in Milpitas or San Jose. I'm amazed at how housing continues to rise here.

Worthy news might be: FCA throws in an apple music subscription for as long as you own their vehicle.

Heck I got 3 months for buying some headphones from Apple.

California housing prices are insane (I grew up in Santa Clara) my parent's are finalizing plans to sell their home and move to Oregon. Everyone I went to school with already sold their homes and moved to Oregon or Arizona, I moved to Illinois and my brother went to Indiana.
