This is getting ridiculous. Not a single word from Intuit after they gave us a teaser in January.

I'm about to break down and buy Microsoft Money and run it under Parallels. The current version of Quicken is too buggy and isn't handling all my needs.

Here's hoping Intuit releases QFL:Mac pretty soon.

I saw that Intuit is beta testing Quicken Financial Life, and says it will be for sale this December. I've submitted my name for beta testing, but haven't heard anything further.

Is anyone beta testing? Is there any new information on the quality of QFL and how it compares to MS Money or Quicken? I really want an OS X personal finance app and hope that QFL is a strong program.

I still use turbotax, but gave up on Quicken a long time ago (after using it for 10 years or so). There are several really good ones out there from independents. I prefer Moneywell.

If it helps any, iBank was able to download directly from Bank of America and American Express. They have a free trial you can play with. I'm pretty impressed with it. The latest version perfectly imported my Mac Quicken file and my accounts matched to the penny. I'm waiting for Quicken Financial Life to be released before I decide between it and iBank.

Can Moneywell download transactions directly from banks? It wasn't clear from their website.

Thanks

Yes. In fact, that is why I chose it. My quicken (2006?) wanted me to register something with intuit before it would download from my bank. Moneywell did it straight away, no problem. It is very good and well documented.
