I've heard that QFL will have no import for Quicken data; implicitly there's no import then for Money data either. :(
FWIW, it does have a tool (and instructions) for importing from Quicken (Mac).

How were you not in the beta but were beta testing QFL?

I signed up for the beta and was never contacted. Actually, I signed up a few times. When they started beta testing, and I don't know if this was a glitch or on purpose, but if you signed up again to test, you were directed to a download link.

I think they fixed that now when this last beta expired as I was not able to update to the next version and they closed the forum. It may be almost done, but I have a feeling they're still doing testing. The last beta I used did not have a lot of features activated, but these were not features that would have many bugs. I think they really wanted us to test transaction entries and downloads.

update

So now it looks like intuit took all references to Financial Life for Mac and removed them from their site....I wonder if it was scrapped and they will start over using the current 2007 design.

lol it looks like the beta feedback forum is gone also.

My guess is that they're going to push towards their online solution. But no one really knows except Intuit...

I don't get their online services. I can understand if they charged for it, but it's free. Am I missing something? Why would a company who's business is selling financial software for users suddenly offer a free online version that is actually quite comparable to the one they're selling?

I guess they get more money from showing ads/recommending appropriate services then they do from selling software?

That could be it. I tried it in the past when it was fee based, but it just felt weird doing it all online. Maybe I should try it again. Does anyone have any opinions on it?

nonetheless, thanks to dad2rem because I missed that other thread too and have been trying to figure out when it'll be released.

I just got a new MBP and need to install 2007 or the new financial life. I tried the beta but don't want to go down the wrong path converting my data files if they were to change the way it works. I'd install 2007 but I hate the way it uses the installer to put files everywhere and I don't know of a clean way to uninstall.

But now it looks like I have no choice.
