Radio Shack is for sale for $2.5B. Apple could buy it and give it as a Christmas bonus to Woz!

Exactly. Apple's "sale" prices have been ridiculous since Apple started selling computers.
Apple makes good stuff in general, but their failure to ever have a real sale (something more than 5% off) is one reason why Apple (except for the iPod line) is never #1 in marketshare. Apple is pretty much the same as Bose regarding pricing methodologies. Yet, on the other hand, with Apple always making a super healthy profit margin, Apple seems to enjoy selling low volume and charging high prices. Hey, whatever makes Apple happy.

A while back I traded my 3G in for a 3GS and got the phone, case, dock, and screen protector for $105. Radioshack actually has incredible deals on discontinued items such as cases and dock radios. If you go buy once a week like I do, you'd know that the store kicks some serious ass if you want something decent without breaking the bank. You just have to be patient and stop being a snob about where you shop.

Radio Shack's thrive in small towns where they're the only electronics store for 20 miles (like mine.)
Truth. My front gate remote and garage door remotes use odd sized batteries. Only The Shack carries them.
Radio Shack is also the only game in town in many small towns.
Only people like us know that a new iPhone will be released soon, it's not like any tangible evidence about the next iPhone reached mainstream media!
