Raise to wake lag

anyone experiencing raise to wake lag? The screen takes a split second longer to turn on

I’m on iOS 11.1.1
Using dynamic wallpapers

Seems to be better if not using dynamic wallpapers

Mine lags for roughly forever...

...because I disabled it 😎

Never used that feature before, so figured I’d finally try it with the X due to Face ID. I found no noticeable speed increase when unlocking my phone. And more importantly, I found that it kept waking and sleeping while upright in my shirt pocket for some reason (I guess because it’s loose?). No idea if it happens in my pants pocket.
