Ran over iphone 4

Congrats on the replacement. If you were going naked before, I'd like to suggest an otterbox case and the squaretrade warranty. :)

I handed them a plastic baggie filled with glass etc and the Genius said "this is obviously personal damage" LOL. I was truthful and would have paid the $199 in a heartbeat over the $499 the Apple site suggested (when placing a new phone in the cart).

Someone mentioned an Otterbox....it was on there...crushed by an almost 9000lb truck LOL. I must say that it had to have worked well enough to keep the electronics somewhat workable. I did not lose any data being able to sync it. I'm sure the MobilMe also helped.

I am VERY happy with Apple's customer care. I have never had to use them, one of the reasons why I love Apple. even when it was clearly my own fault, Apple came through to help me in a desperate time of need. With my wife leaving that next morning for Israel for work and me not having another phone. I am extremely grateful. :)

He then told my wife that he had to tell her something about the mall when he came back. He came back a few minutes later and handed me my new phone and said it was FREE :) He then proceeded to tell my Wife there is a Tiffany's and a Burberry in the mall and that he was sure I would be happy to take her there LOL. What a great ending to a horrible day. I went to his manager and thanked him for the kindness and told him that the guy was great etc. One more reason why I love Apple.

I'm 100% sure this would never happen to me. Nothing nice ever happen to me at the Apple store. I had to fight them to prove that my iphone 3gs was over heating.

Great story! Happy to hear everything worked out in the end. I bet your iPhone would have been fine if you had a bumper on it, though.
