Hello,

I've been searching around for a few weeks now and haven't found a reason for this issue. I got 2 Asus monitors (PB278Q) connected via DP to Mini DP to a MP 6,1 (6 Cores/D700).

I bought new cables recently thinking the problem might have been the cables but the problem is still there.

My warranty will expire in early November this year. I fear that there is a problem with the mac and I won't be able to replicate the problem in front of the technician since it happens very randomly (half sec partial horizontal flicker in one screen like maybe 3 times a day and 1 sec turn of or lose signal once a week).

Things I've tried. Resetting the PRAM and unplugging the machine for 10 seconds. The problem still there.

Any body got experience with this?

Are your monitor cords overlapping or near other devices like the back of your monitors? I had issues at one point where I think it was interference getting into the one monitors cable.. I gave the cable a new path along the desk to my machine (MP 6,1) and it went away.

Yes, they are mounted on a dual mount base. I'll try to remove them from the canals to see if it's an interference thing.

Thank you so much.

Well I tried that and right within the first 2 minutes one of the screens flickered for a second. I'm trying to look now for a voltage problem since I have several things connected to the same outlet and this problem is recent. It didn't seem to happen when I had just one screen. Thanks for the tip spaz.

I have a MP 5,1 with two Dell monitors on a dual mount. Maybe once every couple of days, the right hand monitor flicks to black for about 1 second then recovers. I haven't investigated what's causing it yet.

I think it's a bad Monitor, the right monitor is not doing it anymore but the left monitor which is almost new just started making popping noises whenever it goes black and comes back up.

I'll try to ignore the issue for now. As long as I can work it's okay.

Thank you guys.
