I am back on 10.5.8 because of one issue. The others were not showstoppers for me however the OpenGL issues with the NVidia 9400m upon waking from sleep were what tipped me back to Leopard.

My beef with snow leopard is that every time I reboot my computer, the sound level always resets back to full. Anyone know how to fix this?

I had this problem (mine was medium volume, not full) and I fixed it from http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10327006#10327006 just by deleting a few files.

My Safari is now more laggy when playing World of Warcraft. With Leopard, I could do both at the same time, but now Safari keeps pausing. It helps when I use my 9600M GT instead of the 9400.

At first I thought it was microsoft, but Word crashes when using spotlight to find a file and Mail crashes when using spotlight to attach a file. If you navigate on your own or use Spotlight on the top right corner, it is no problem. I posted the same problem along with my iSight not working in snow leopard. Turns out, I was not even sure it ever worked in the first place (never used it since I purchased my UMBP in June), so they replaced my entire display. No scratches or nicks due to the fact they did it in store. Went off topic a bit, sorry.:eek::eek:

Hey, Spaz, your opinions are obviously useless here. Apple isn't prepping a gigantic 10.6.2 update with changes in over 150 areas because Snow Leopard is the best OS release ever, unless you're just shy of 2 years old.

Really? My opinion is useless here? Yeah, okay. How come I don't have any problems with Snow Leopard? I guess I'm one of the lucky one's eh? Well, whatever the case may be… I'm excited for 10.6.2 anyways to fix the stuff that isn't affecting me.

Here's a solution if you don't want to wipe your entire hard drive while Apple sits around and thinks about releasing 10.6.2.

I've been using it since about October 1st, and haven't really had a need to go back yet. Although the longer battery life and cooler temperatures are nice in class.
