Well...so much for the idea of re-breaking to fix crashes and clean out for a fresh jailbreak. This attempt has failed as I was afraid it would and I am now stuck until a new jailbreak is released. Using RedSn0w 9.4 and following the instructions was my demise (which I stated concerned me) because some friggin where along the road 3.1.3 got installed and with a 3GS...I am finished. Guess next time I will just deal with crash's and dead files not being removed during uninstall with Cydia and RYP. At least it should only be a month or two until I can get my jailbreak back.

Thanks to all who tried to help me:(:(

Sorry it didn't work out for you. Either you restored the phone prior to running Redsn0w or at some other time during the process.

Wish you would have used the method I posted, pretty foolproof.

Oh I see, I wasn't clear enough. Sorry about that dude. Since you have your SHSH's on file with Cydia, you can restore back down to 3.1.2, and Jailbreak with blackra1n, probably be easier for you. You wont be able to unlock though, but you said you weren't concerned about an unlock since you're on AT&T, but thats okay now...until you want to sell it. Thats when it becomes a problem.

I had actually already put a fresh 3.1.2 restore on using click/shift and at the part in the thread where I voiced my concern over the recommended 0.3.4 and 0.3.5 and thought I should use 0.3.2 because of the 3.1.3 issue...I was assured that 0.9.4/5 would work with no problems. I followed the instructions to the letter which also stated to upgrade to 3.1.3.

I did try and downgrade to 3.1.2 using and iTunes will not allow me even though I have 3 versions backed up on Cydia. The baseband is not a concern but now I can't downgrade either so I am stuck until a new jailbreak is released.

:D:D:D SUCCESS!!! :D:D:D
Finally after about a dozen attempts, I was able to restore back to 3.1.2 using Cydia. I did get the 1015 error twice and when it failed the second time, activated redsn0w 0.9.4. I also had to run redsn0w twice and the second time it took. Cydia is now back on Home Screen and I am restoring now. Downside is that I did lose the good baseband and can only hope that it can be broke after 4.0 is released.

Thanks so much to all for the patience and assistance.:D

@dhlizard...I really would like to be able to do this as you suggested using pwnage after 4.0 and the baseband are broke. No sense it doing it now since my baseband is the most recent. Any recommendations are welcomed with open arms.

Just don't run any firmware updates. Apple will likely issue a 3.1.4 firmware update to block the Spirit jailbreak. Firmware 4.0 should be out in early June. Don't upgrade to it until the 4.0 jailbreak and unlock tools are released.

We will all be "Golden" then (some of us are now, everyone who doesn't rush into updating should be also)

Totally agree with you...I have never rushed to update and even tried to get complete guidance to "do it right" but screwed it up slightly. Have never had to restore while already jailbroken but it was crashing to much so know I had to do something. I always laugh at the rushers as well.

I had also asked for your help in the first post specifically and didnt get a response till to late in the game...oh well...you are still the one I go to for help as you rock!

When I first read the thread, I saw that. Unfortunately, I am not sitting here all day, so there were many responses before my post, which was when I first saw the thread.
