Are you kidding? If I remember correctly, this is the company that puts trackers in their apps (like Facebook SDK and Amplitude). The opposite of privacy.
Want to put a citation to that assertion out there, or are you just going to hit and run here?
I will be happy to shed some light on the Facebook SDK and Amplitude despite the fact that the Documents doesn't have it).

First things first - please be assured Readdle takes the privacy of customers very seriously. Because of that, we use pseudonymization and one-way hashing of statistical data wherever possible and, unless you have provided us with additional information, are unable to positively identify any of your data in our Amplitude account or Facebook SDK. We want to reassure you that Readdle collects only statistical information regarding our applications, such as how many users have installed it and/or are using it at any given time. We never collect any personal data, such as email addresses, names, or any profiling data without your explicit consent.
Facebook SDK is used to identify the source of installations only, and no personal information is shared with Facebook or collected for our usage.

Information saved in Amplitude has purely technical nature, for example, how many times a particular feature was invoked or how much time it took to execute a certain module. This data is essential for us to create a better user experience, maintain and develop our apps. As I mentioned before, the information is not personalized and stays anonymous.

Please note that even for the VPN feature we don't collect your email address, unlike different providers.

No, but there is a Readdle Guy in here and maybe they start thinking about it.

Somehow i personally dislike features of an App that permanently advertises other Apps and Services, and i'm sure not alone with this mindset. This is one of the reasons why i never liked the old versions of Readdle Apps, because there was always this prominent last button listing all the Readdle Apps you didn't subscribe or buy.

Better directly open a Link with the default Browser, or use a SafariViewController like Twitter does, and optionally offer the build-in Browser. Advertise VPN once or twice, and let the user optionally disable and hide it, just like you can customise the top toolbar of Finder. I would even pay 1-5euro once to be able to disable these features and hide these icons permanently.

Apart from that their Tools are top notch 💪
Oh and i personally dislike subscriptions, this made me stop buying their Readdle PDF Tools, but it's their business...
Thanks for your feedback! I've shared it with our team so they can consider an option to hide VPN button 😇 (for free)

Is that how the app works now. I paid for it once many years back and have been using it all this while without any issues or additional charges.
Indeed, at the moment Scanner Pro has a subscription-based model for newcomers.

The old blog post sounds different, apparently deleted but still readable on various German sites. I had linked it above.
Facebook SDK in an app is by definition not privacy friendly. Pseudomisation is very difficult.

And Amplitude makes it possible to opt out. But the app developer must also offer this to his users. Since I don't use your apps for a good reason, I don't know. So I hope that you at least offer opt-out.

Opt Out of Tracking

Users may wish to opt out of tracking entirely, which means no events and no records of their browsing history. setOptOut provides a way to fulfill certain users’ requests for privacy.

Readdle makes some nice apps, but since a lot of it is free, I am wary of privacy side of things
