Hey bud, doubtful this will help but I'm throwing out there.

A buddy of mine loves his iPhone but doesn't care about the whole pre-order / reservation business.

He wants to know if an item (in this case an iPhone) is out
He wants to go to the store right then and there
He wants to buy it on the spot.

Needless to say, for the last 2 iPhone's, he literally just walked into his local AT&T store on Day 1 and bought it. No reservation, no pre-order, no prior phone call.

The other option is perhaps Walmart. No reservation system. First come, first server on day 1.

Anyways, GL bud. I hope you get it on Day 1.

ditto on the walmart thing, in a pinch i always go there. granted this is different, but for every game launch i always go to walmart. they always have the games available at 12 when other places dont and there is never a line. if it comes to it, go to walmart.

Hopefully the new iPhone outweighs all these bad experiences I've experience with ATT so far, granted I'm not even a customer yet with them!

Everybody should take a deep breath and relax. I have little doubt you will be able to find one either on launch day or just a few days after.

I already have mine pre-ordered and am just fine getting it on the 25th if that came

I just hope this can go more smoothly on pre-order/release days in the future

Ugh, now I won't be able to get one till after July 2nd now :(
I'm in the same boat as you buddy. No time to go when the store opens due to work. I really don't feel like going to BBY after work either because it's on the other side of town! The way Apple and AT&T handled this one reflects really poorly on them. It looks like I'll have to sit this one out for a bit.

Personally I do not blame AT&T, I think this is more of an Apple issue. Just look what they did in regards to the White iPhone, and they both (Apple & AT&T) had to know what would happen to their websites when you have a Million plus people trying to order a phone online in the matter of a few hours.

In my Book AT&T and Apple get an F- for the way they handled this whole ordeal.

I also blame HTC and Verizon for the whole ordeal around the HTC Incredible, just pathetic how they tease us (not that I am getting this, but a family member is) then they go sorry you can sign up and pay for the phone today, but hey you might not get the phone for 3 weeks.

Boo Hoo to all of em'
