I'm calling Trolling. First post and shady story.

I assure you, not trolling. I hope we don't have to weigh through a bunch of irrelevant conspiracy theories just to have a conversation. I came on here because it was so odd, and rather depressing. I love the new iPhone 4.

Post pics of the line and interview videos of at least 10 customers or Im calling Bull!

This is so hilarious. Everything on the internet is fake right? I'm surprised you didn't post "FIRST!!" It's all true, and it wasn't like a line of 20 people, but they were holding folks at the door like idiots, so I had to ask, and then had to find out it was for refunds. On one hand it looked like they were trying to make it difficult for people to return their phones, but the people hurt the most were folks like myself trying to buy a new computer. I had to wait for a Genius Bar person to get done helping some woman with her "I don't know how to use a computer" problem before I could drop a cool $850.

Yeah there was a line at SLC apple store it was for BUYING iphone 4's!

I think they are catching up with alot of peoples reservations because I reserved mine 3 days ago they told me it would be 3 weeks and I got mine today!:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

Why is your join date july 2010??

I initially thought it was all purchases, but nearly everyone I saw had iPhone 4's in hand. My leading question to the couple folks I talked to was "Are you getting your bumpers?" to which they said, "No a refund." Given that they didn't have a bumper on their phone, I assumed it was for the phone.

Perhaps it was all cross-pollinated between buyers and refunders, but the Apple employee also called the line a refund line. It was probably 10 to 12 folks, but dear god it was taking forever to process these folks.

I DID return my iPhone 4 yesterday at Glendale, CA store (5 min north of Los Angeles).
there was a huge line in the mall in two parts and the sign said reservation pickup. It was not a line to return

I was the only one returning and I was taken care of separately.
I was not put back in the line.

I had too many issues with proximity sensor.
I will buy the white one when that comes out.
Back to 3GS for now.

This AM getting regular SIM at AT&T store 2 iPhones sold in front of me and 3rd guy was moving from sprint to iPhone 4. Though it looked like problems we pissing the guy off.

They were probably getting refunds for their iPhone bumpers. You said most had the bumpers on their phones. If they are returning the phones, why is it out and not in the box. I doubt you have X-ray vision to see inside the box to see the bumpered iPhones.

Oops, nevermind. You said they didn't have the bumpers on their phones. I mis-read.

I second this accusation, not to brag or anything, but I have spend many a night trolling youtube comments, I know the scent of troll.

I hate the YouTube comments. A lot of them are not even useful or interesting.

Whether it is BS or not, I wouldn't be shocked if it were true.

People are posers. They would buy an iPhone 4 and use it for a month before returning it within 30 days. They can always say they OWNED an iPhone 4 when they were originally headed to another carrier or platform in the first place. Like people who buy shoes or dresses, use it for a special occasion, and then return it in a couple days with the tag still on.

For every dozen people you might see rerurning it, the buying line is still at a much higher frequency. Like a Star Wars movie even if it is bad, it will still be a blockbuster hit in the box office and be #1 during the opening weeks. iPhone 4 is critic-proof. Criticize it all you want, it will still sell millions.

Sorry brah but I live by irvine spectrum. You are lying. Time to make a new troll account because you have been caught.

Yep, it was almost obvious this guy is a troll. He just created his user name this month.

Why would they have their iPhones in their hand if they are returning it?

Go BS somewhere else mmkk?

I went by the Irvine Spectrum today and did not see a line at the Apple Store. OP is full of it.

I third this..... Funny how the only lines I see here are lines for reserving the iP4s. EVERY frikkin' day. Not ONE person is returning their phone.

Without joining the assault on the OP, or verifying their statement I will add my personal observations.

1: Have been to my local Apple Store 5X since the press conference (final preps for sending the last child to become another engineer, ah, the end is near. Asks the wife, what Pacific Island are we going to in 2015?).

2: Yesterday I saw 1 person return their iPhone 4. The store was EXTREMELY busy, however it was all iMac and MacBook business, 1-1, and other purchases.

3: One item did grab my attention. The center of the store has a display with 15 iPhone 4 on it. This table used to be stand in line and wait to see the phone. I have not seen more than 1 person at this display on each of my last 5 visits post press conference.

Mean while the Verizon store is backed into the outter floor with people wanting the POS (IMO) Droid X.

Now, this is nothing but relaying observations. However, I think when we see new numbers it is not going to be pretty. I also think the delay in the White Phone is related to internal changes more than paint, but the paint application excuse is somewhat legit.

End.:apple:

I guess this is good news.
More people will be able to get the iP4, the fact that they can't keep up with demand means that the ones returning theirs on mass
Means more iP4 for all.

The iP4 has been out for a month now, so anyone wanting to see one has already.

Droid X just out so I guess those that want it will be clamouring for it.

I guess coming here to troll make the OP feel better about the POS droid he's stuck with.

Ridicules response. I was simply stating my observations. There are always MANY people using the iPads each time I visit. How long has it been out?

Try to put some thought into a response. You can't assume every new member is a troll. Sure, many are. All I was saying was that I had noticed a significant change in interest post press conference.

I have been a Mac user since 2001, and quite honestly owned almost every device they have built. I am looking forward to upgrading, but not till iOS4 is more mature. I have no issues with the antenna.

Have a cup of tea and read a good book. : ) :apple:

I love people who posts this kind of stuff and they JUST joined MacRumors during the current month.

That seems to be pretty typical on here. Or the guy who joined this month...Has an average of 5 posts a day...and whose only advice (in virtually every post) is to tell people to "GROW UP." LOL

I guess reading is not your strong suit. I wasn't responding to you.

Try to read first before tapping into your personal aggression triggers. You're taking this forum way too personally. Time for you to back away from the computer...wipe the Cheetos dust off your bathrobe...jump in the shower...and get out into the sunshine.

I'm laughing about how somebody who spells "ridiculous," "ridicules," tells ME to go read a book! LOL

LOL. First off, I am fully dressed, and do not use a bathrobe, or eat Cheetos.
Living in UpState, NY removes the Sunshine recommendation.

But I'll cut you some slack. My brother lives in Pasadena so I know what it's like to become a Californian, and $800,000 dollar a year City Supervisors. Say goodbye to Jerry Brown. : )

As far as personal aggressors, it's only a mild trigger. Heck, it's always easy to do anonymously anyway. : ) :apple:
