That’s the problem. I can afford it but, who needs three watches that are basically the same. It’s frivolous but, the bug to get a new watch has bitten me.

If AOD is of no value to you, which is the main feature, then it is hard to justify.

Sell one or both of the S4's and get the Ti. Its the most versatile watch that Apple has from a looks standpoint imo from bands that can be worn with it.

yea i agree why not sell? you might be able to cover the Ti and get it for "free"? haha..

As long as you can afford it if you want it go for it dude.

Sure AW is no collector item yet, but look at those guys that have dozen of mechanical watches sitting in a drawer.

I kind of flip-flop, as much as I like the Apple Watch, and it’s very versatile in terms of all the features/capabilities, lately I’ve been gravitating towards my mechanical watches, [which I have a fairly large collection], but it really depends on the occasion and my overall mood. The strongest feature of the Apple Watch has, is how easy it is to pair bands and switch them out in the same instance.

Sell the 2 S4 watches and get the cheapest Titanium. Note that you get a sport band and an extra year of warranty with the Titanium.
And promise to resist buying the Series 6 that adds sleep tracking.

I wish there were an Hermès Titanium.

Yeah I pretty much agree with you. For years I've tried various Apple watches, and although I understand they offer value to a lot of people, I feel like they're redundant and enjoy mechanical watches a whole lot more.

It seems to me that the watch almost exists just to reduce usage of the phone, which I'm not looking to do.

I just got a series 5 the other day after mulling over aluminum or stainless steel. Steel is obviously the way to go for any watch geek, but roughly double the price for what is really the same tech device, and depreciates even more... Ouch.

I wish every watch had easily changeable bands like the Apple watch... This is probably my favourite part as well.

Some of us require fall detection or a-fib detection, which is not available on the phone Your comments care a bit short sighted.

Lol, I'm still wondering how Apple thinks people are going to use sleep tracking when their watch can barely last a day on a charge.

The rumored switch to micro LED and further refinements of the system-on-a-chip could help. They made only minor changes to the latter this year.

I would honestly go and try the Series 5 for a couple of weeks before selling at Series 4 watches. If you feel like the upgrade is not worth it, return the Series 5.

I have a feeling Ti will be available every year so just get the color when there is a meaningful upgrade.

Apparently some folks managed to use the AW for sleep tracking, they only charge it in the morning when they take a shower before work. Personally sleeping with a watch on would bother me and I don't give half a damn about sleep tracking.

This isn’t true. There was a front page article today that I made a comment about how I can tweak my Apple Watch settings to easily last 24 hours and above with no problem. So you _can’t_ say that Apple Watch ‘barely lasts a day’, when it depends on the usage and settings. [And as far as the sleep tracking comment goes, I’m willing to believe the majority of Apple Watch users don’t use sleep tracking, nor do they wear their watch to bed.]

I’m not saying that, Apple is. By Apple’s own claims with normal usage you will get 18 hours of battery life. Now I’m sure if you shut everything off and turn off AOD, Raise to Wake, background refresh, don’t workout, etc you can get quite a bit more battery life. I like using my watch to it’s full potential though so I’m not ping that. So, as it stands; the watch barely lasts a day when using it the way it was intended to be used.
