…it has no issues whatsoever.

Hardware: I ordered the natural Ti model and the band colour is uniform with no defects and no sharp edges where it meets the screen or back.

Heat: There hasn’t been any so far. I restored from iCloud during setup comprising of hundreds of apps, photos, etc, and it didn’t even get mildly warm.

Charging for around 30 minutes via an Apple 20w charger resulted in some very mild warmth. Well in line with what you’d expect from a charging phone.

Wireless CarPlay for two 20 minute journeys resulted in no heat, not even mild warmth.

That’s my experience after half a day. Why am I posting this? Because after reading these forums I nearly cancelled my order. If you feel the same then try and put it in perspective, the majority of phones are perfectly fine. If your phone is getting hot or it has visual defects, get it replaced.

As far as my experience goes, it’s been perfect so far 👍

Can you try it with an Android USB-C charger? I believe I read somewhere that the Apple Store told someone that Android USB-C chargers might heat up the iPhone 15 Pro Max alot.

Would be interesting to see if your iPhone 15 Pro Max heats up then.

I don’t have one sorry, but I’ll try it with a host of different chargers and cables over the coming days for sure.

Why would anyone try something that Apple has said would cause excessive heat to the device just because someone on the internet wants to see if it actually does overheat the phone? Do you want the OP to try and bend it too to see if the back glass breaks to confirm jerryrigeverything's assertion that the phone is less durable...

This sounds like BS, I've used whatever charger I've had around so far and no issues. The device tells the charger what level of power it can accept so if that were true it's Apple's fault and I'd imagine Apple knows the standards for quick charging over USB C

Have to say that like the OP I'm yet to experience heat issues. I got mine on release day, installed from previous iPhone 12. I've had one day of disappointing battery life (checking Battery in Settings the culprit was mostly Teams which comes as little surprise 😔) but otherwise exemplary battery life, no heat issues and only slightly confusing AOD Night Mode.

Update: Phone sat on a Belkin MagSafe stand in standby mode last night and I have used it non stop this morning for browsing, apps, etc. absolutely NO warmth at all. Completely cool to the touch.

Fine woven case already has a faint ring that won’t rub off after being on the charger once 😆

Literally not had a single issue of concern with the phone yet. Really happy with it.

I got a 15 Pro on introduction day in black and OP stated the same exact thing I had sure the phone was warm first day with doing the setup and indexing then after the 2nd no issues and the phone has never given any problem. I did try various things including using my wired CarPlay driving home the first day and everything worked as designed.

Got my 15 Pro on launch day, first iPhone I’ve had with zero issues:

-No colour cast on the screen.

-No scratches or dents.

-No overheating or warmth during transfer and set up.

-No mushy buttons.

-No dead pixels.

-No sharp edges front or back.

-No dust under camera lens covers.

-No debris in colour coating (inside) on rear of device.

The above if my check list for new devices……as you can see it’s quite extensive!

I find Samsung’s build quality to be way more consistent than Apple, but then Samsung actually manufactures its devices (except the low end ones) whereas Apple relies on Foxconn and others.

Good to know you are enjoying your 15PM. A little bit of advice...don't ever based your purchase decisions on anything on a forum or online. Keep in mind these forums don't even account to the 1% of the iPhone users in the world. Everyone I know personally who got a 15 is doing fine and content meanwhile you come on here and its the end of the iPhone world. Enjoy your device in good health.

I was shoked to learn that if you use wrong cable that manufacturer doesn’t support, it heats. Or if you bend your phone with brutal force it bends. Or if you scratch it with a knife it scratches. Or if you drop it from top of a building it shatters. I will never buy phones again. Can’t imagine you keeping your iPhone after all these eyeopening news from YouTubers.

It’s tough being an iPhone owner. Multiple times a day I’m tempted to take blowtorch to the screen or conduct a drop test from a bedroom window 😆

I haven’t even used the USB-C cable that came in the box. In my car, I use a USB-C cable that came with a previous Samsung device years ago. At home in the living room, I place it on a Samsung fast wireless charger, and in my bedroom I place in on a MagSafe and rotate it on a cheap stand for nightstand to activate.

No heat issues on my 15PM whatsoever.

I’ve charged my Pro Max with a $15 USB 3.2 cable I bought on Amazon a long time ago.
No issues

Same here. iPhone 15 Pro, perfect so far, no issues whatsoever. No overheating, in fact, the phone is quite cool. And I even have Instagram installed 🙂

I've been on here since 2006 and seen (and posted) about problems with Mac's, iPads and iPhones. I got lucky this time, generally the QC at Foxconn sucks big time.

Zero issues with my 15 Pro as well. That being said, I acknowledge the existence of bad units (I had a 12 Pro with faulty battery), but this thing with cables? I’ve read for years bad experiences with cables either cheap or not meant for the device (I wouldn’t charge my iPhone with an Android cable) causing problems. Just get a third party quality cable from Anker or Nomad.

Agreed, Anker cables are very good quality and very reasonably priced.

Just today my partner had to physically restrain me from putting my 15PM in a blender. I was sobbing and kicking. I even wet myself. Such a close call. If the 16 doesn’t actively repel blenders I am never giving Apple another penny. Absolutely disgraceful.

But really, no issues here either. It’s perfect. It gets hot during extended video recording but so did my 14PM, no difference. I’ve been completely satisfied with every iPhone I’ve owned since 2007 and that’s why I am a dedicated user.
