I just ordered both the TA and the SA. There's nothing else in the market I like so far. Will give these a try and go from there.

I don't like the hole in the back but I plan on using a screen shield discarded plastic, cut into a square and tape it underneath so it protects the apple logo. Won't be able to tell there's a clear plastic on there.

Another quick question: What about headphone jack clearance? Would they big enough to fit a regular headphone (not earbud) plug?

I've got several sets of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-Xtreme-...ie=UTF8&qid=1411595961&sr=8-8&keywords=jvc+xx and I use them without an issue.

I keep pairs everywhere, so I don't have to remember to put them in whatever car I pop out in (walk the dog etc).

Great headphones too.

I left the protective plastic that came on the iPhone on (cut the front section off).

Yes, but earbuds usually have smaller headphone jacks than full-on headphones. I use the Sony MDR-V6 at work, and the plug is more on the level of something like this:

As per title,

Im just back from hols in Jamaica and my cases (and my phone!) were all waiting for me!

I'm just doing a restore on my 6 Plus to get it up and running, then I'll get some pictures taken with my 5S with it in each case.
Does the lip on the tough armor stick out farther than the lip on the slim armor or is it the same?

Dig my slim armor on the plus. Peeps saying it looks cheap...no it is not. Peeps saying kickstand is flimsy...no it is not. Will post pics tomorrow. I have the metal slate color. Pretty slick.

Slightly (0.5mm?) deeper lip on the TA, than on the slim.
Thanks. So which one do you like better and plan to use, and which one do you like the buttons better on? Is the tough armor a lot more bulky enough to make it uncomfortable? And is the vibrate switch easier to access on the Tough Armor, or no?

Received mine yesterday and it feels like a nice solid case. I wish the lip would extend a tad bit further on the front. There is only 1/32" from the case to the face of the screen. I will still wait for otterbox defenders to come out for the 6+ and get some reviews in before I switch.

Just curious: how thick does the phone get with this case? That's my only concern.

Thanks.

The kickstand itself is not that flimsy, but the way it moves most certainly is.

Take the stand out, turn your case upside down and wiggle it.

You'll see the stand wave around like a plate of jelly and that's why it would only take a light knock on a desk for your phone to fall over.

Not major I know, just spoils the case a little IMO.

I have the case with the kickstand as well. Overall I like it. But I agree with the OP that it seems a little less durable than folk would hope. But I like the way it looks and feels. Doesn't feel extra bulky.

Not very. I hear this compared to the Otterbox Defender quite a bit but it's not even close in terms of bulk. It's a lot thinner than I expected it to be but thick enough I have faith it would do fairly well in a drop.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm not happy with the Tough Armor. The back is coming apart from the TPU and the edges are sharp.

Just got my phone and put it in the case and I'll probably end up going to an OB Defender once they're available. I don't feel confident this thing can take a hit to the screen. We'll see, maybe I'm just paranoid, it's a BIG phone and not as much as a lip around the screen as I'd like.

I've had an Otterbox Armor on my 5 for the last year or so and it's indestructable. No way I'd put one on the Plus though. :p

Ok...

I'm not happy with the Tough Armor.

It's just too chunky and makes the phone too large.

I've switched to the Slim today and it feels much better size wise, but....because of the rounded edges, it doesn't feel as 'safe' in my hands (I don't have large hands).

Also, the slim feels quite 'shiny' in my hand and that doesn't help.

I'm not sure either of these will be staying, as I really like the phone but neither of these cases do it any favours.

My Wife has a Neo Hybrid EX arriving today for her 6 today, so I may take a look at that as an potential case.

It looks like my search goes on... :(
