Hate to tell you all this....

I ordered my white, 32 gb, wifi non-engraved pad at 12:47am on launch day via Apple.com.
This morning I received the pad at my doorstep two day before the scheduled arrival date of 3/17.

There is hope, everyone.

Anyone know what "Released for delivery" in Anchorage could mean? It's been sitting there since noon yesterday.

I ordered mine at 12:55 PST, no engraving, and I've seen engraved ones ordered later that have shipped. This is complete nonsense.

I ordered at 2:47am CST and nothing.. still sitting at "prepared to ship" hopefully it hop on the plane with yours (wishful thinking).


edit: as soon as I submitted this reply.. my phone vibrated ..... Shipment Notification !!!!!

It awaiting the next flight to most likely Memphis. Dont worry about the rest of the people worrying about no flights leaving Anchorage. It will leave most likely late tonight ! :):apple:

Thanks for the reassurance! Do you think that means it will be delivered tomorrow or will it take another day to get to the Northeast?

Yeah they changed it for you, but really its not going to change the speed that you will receive it... everything is already shipped the fastest method possible. I know from experience, I ordered one of my iPhone's priority shipping and it took the same planes, routes, and got delivered at the same time as everyone with the free shipping. So I called and they refunded my money, they told me there is really no priority shipping from China -- you can order (and pay for it) but it changes nothing really.

If it was in Alaska since yesterday, will deliver tomorrow. Give it two days from when it was cleared from customs for delivery
 
I realize that apple is still in the 3-5 business days shipping window, but this is still ridiculous for a product launch especially if they're going to do no pre-orders and release the thing in the middle of the night. This is like getting concert tickets pre-internet and showing up at 4:30am to be the first in line only to find out that they're going to do a lottery for who gets to buy the tickets first. I'm so irritated.

I hope so! Though Memphis isn't around the corner from Philly, but it could probably hop on a morning flight with some luck as someone else pointed out.
 
Just got my black 32-GB Wifi only, non-engraved!!! For the record, ordered 12:41PST (very early!)

I am in Madison,WI, and the plane only got into Memphis this very day at 12:30AM or so, so it seems like the shipping is very fast (at least for me!)
 
Mines will definitely be here Friday giving that it takes a total of 3-4 days because it got picked up after the fedex cutoff, I may be looking at day 4. I looked at just about everyone's tracking information and my assumptions are promising.

Freebee gray smart cover just arrived. Came out of Harrisburg, PA

16gig wifi cleared customs in Anchorage this morning, my 32 gig arrived in Anchorage this morning and now states that is has cleared. They should both leave on the same plane for Memphis, I hope.:confused:

However, the 16 gig says delivery on the 17th and the 32 on the 18th. Go figure. :rolleyes:

The asswipe at Apple that I called and complained about this very thing (people who ordered after me and had engraving) told me I was being fooled and not to belive anything on the internet that Apple always ships by when you placed the order.

Lying sack of....

its funny, my status is exactly the same.. even the same timestamps .. and i am on the east coast too..

i am assuming the status update today means that its still in alaska.. and likely only to show up tomorrow or day after..
 
I got the smart cover on Saturday!!!!!, but my 64gb white att hasn't shipped.
Do att stores have any?
