Never thought I'd be able to post this!
Black 64gb AT&T version just flipped to "Prepared for Shipping" at approximately 7:15 or so.
For reference, I ordered on March 11 at 1:17 AM PDT.
Unfortunately I'd guess this means another weekend without it, but will have for vacation.

It seems that i am the only one from the first batch of iPads still awaiting my delivery tomorrow, which is currently in Newark. Now everyone on here are on the late planes that left after.
My iPad is sitting in Newark as well. I think it's coming by carrier pigeon

Finally went to Prepared for Shipment!!!
Well at least Apple made their promise of shipping within 3-5 days window. Now let's see how long it takes to get to my front door. My status changed to prepared for shipment at around 4pm Eastern Time today.

My exact same model (but Verizon) sat in the "prepared to ship" mode for 2-1/2 days.... until it changed last night.
I hate to be the party pooper, hopefully yours does better.

Same with me. Tracking showed it just left Shenzhen. I've see a few people got there's within 3 days after receiving shipment confirmation. Here's to hoping we get ours Saturday or Monday at the latest

JUST placed my order for AT&T 64gb Black. Let's see how long 4-5 weeks ends up being. AT&T iPads are in short supply due to the pending international launch and I figure getting my order in a solid week before the international launch I might have a shot at getting it before May after spending a combined total of about 24 hours in different lines at different stores with no success.
EDIT: Ships April 20, Deliver by April 23rd. sigh... well at least it's better than getting my hopes up for hours in line.

AT&T iPads delayed by a few days?
I ordered a black 32Gb AT&T model at 1:01AM PDT according to Apple, and it just flipped to "Prepared for Shipment" within the last hour. I'm presuming it was close to the 7:15 time cited by others.
It seems like there was some holdup with the AT&T iPads.....maybe they're holding more back for the international launch. It would make sense, because I'm sure WiFi models far outsell the 3G models, and Apple would wish to hold back some 3G models for int'l launches. The name 'Verizon' iPad seems to indicate that it's not headed to any CDMA markets anytime soon (sorry, Korea).
Anyways, I'm only a little ticked that they're shipping "economy" distribution from China.....you'd think Apple could preposition iPads at their distribution centers in the states.
But hey, it'll ship before I wake up tomorrow, and be here (hopefully) Saturday. I'm expecting the Smart Cover tomorrow, and it shipped Monday.

Lantau Island is the artificial island that houses HK's new airport. Also, it's where FedEx has a massive distribution center to ship packages all over Asia. I think I read once that it's third in terms of cargo volume in the world, after Singapore and Bangkok.
Im in the same boat as you... package moved to "Prepared for Shipment" at about 2:00 PST. Black 64 GB. I'll hope for Monday, but after seeing how long its taken my cover to get to Alaska, Ill be making sure to bring my laptop to work on Tuesday & Wednesday (so I can get that puppy rollin right away) =)
From what I have seen on others tracking, none of them say departed LANTAU ISLAND, they just arrive in the US... So hopefully this means ours are on there way or in the US (doubt it) and just not scanned yet, by now...
